I just love how her words are emerging. My nonverbal son started talking around 2nd grade & now you can't get him to stop! Congrats on your pregnancy. Keeping you all in prayer! 🙏❤
My son has been verbal for almost two years now, but he only talks about things that he is interested in. Do you find that your son does the same?
@@GenaGilderas someone with NVLD (Non-Verbal Learning Disorder very similar to autism with many things that overlap but not the same thing totally recommend reading more about it as we need more awareness but anyway) this makes a lot of sense. I was never non-verbal but in school things only were easy if it was a topic I was interested or excited about. I’m no expert but I wonder if your son is kinda the same way. I find it hard to care about something that I’m not interested or passionate about. I too would much rather go on spiels about the lore of Alice in Wonderland than talk about paying my taxes lmao. Hopefully as he gets older he’ll become more verbal. But he could possibly have some trouble in school later on if he’s not particularly interested in a subject. Again, not an expert and I’m technically not even autistic, but still VERY neurodivergent, but I just thought I’d share my experience personally. I don’t know your son or his situation and of course not everyone will be like me. It really is fascinating how our ND minds think and no ND person ever has the exact same experience.

@ Thank you for your response. He has been diagnosed as high functioning Autistic. He was in Speech Therapy from 18 months until he was 5 years old when he began to talk in full sentences. School trouble is already there. He wasn’t interested in anything and would often throw tantrums when directed to do something he wasn’t interested in. Basically, he preferred testing on the computer than sitting down and being taught. So, we homeschool now.
@ how interesting. Well I hope that’s working better for him. It’s great that you’re doing everything that’s in his best interest! As someone who’s also pretty high functioning, I slipped under the radar as a kid and never got the proper resources and intervention needed. Only was diagnosed a few years ago which was pretty worthless academically speaking since I was halfway through high school by then. My mom always wished that she had known sooner and gotten me some support. But it’s not at all her fault and since then she has been such a huge advocate for me. She really had to fight the school a bit just to get me tested at all. All this to say I really commend parents that heavily advocate for their child and get them early intervention. If it’s something you notice early in your child’s life then absolutely do everything in your power to get support. No matter how many times they might deny you. You sound like an amazingly supportive and understanding mother and I wish nothing but the best for you and your kiddo! Autistic people are so incredibly intelligent. I hope he grows up to do amazing things and knowing that his mom has loved and supported him every step of the way!💖

Did I miss a video where she told us she was pregnant? I read the title and she starts talking in the doctor office about symptoms. I feel like I missed an important video but I can find it.
Precious, have you mentioned the excess spitting or off taste? I believe they can reduce the spitting with meds or Botox in the saliva glands to calm them down. If the bigger issue is the taste, I found my spit and stuff tasted off when I had bronchitis and Doxycycline nipped that taste in about 24 hours. Have you asked your doctor to look at your mouth and tongue for any evidence of an infection which can cause excess saliva and or nasty taste I mouth?
Also, there is a weird mouth was available everywhere, include mm mouth wash. It is a weird bottle with two liquids that come together in the lid/cup. You use it at night, before sleeping, and it knocks out all bacteria for 24 hours. There are a few versions of it and it is called "Smart mouth." My dentist recommended years ago and it helps a lot, especially when I have a chest infection causing mucous, etc. The mouthwash is over the counter.

Regarding the food feeling, I just had surgery on my epiglottis and learned this little flap is responsible for directing food and liquids into the stomach and air through the airway. It can be inflamed and misdirect food into airway, causing aspiration. I often had the same sensation of feeling like food was stuck in the back of my tongue and it turned out it was from a structural condition called Eagle's Syndrome. The surgery on my epiglottis resection was 8 days ago and has already helped quite bit, despite my throat still being a bit tender.

It has been a joy to watch the progress Mikko has made. As a mama of 3, one which didn't talk for multiple reasons. He is 20 now and speaks beautifully after a lot of therapy. You are all doing great. Try ginger candies or pregnancy lollipops to help w nausea. And keep alcohol wipes near to smell. It absolutely helps. And lastly, TMI but wax lunch sized bags are convenient to keep near and discreet as you can fold and put them in your purse.

This is AMAZING!! At 4 years old my son barely spoke words and most didn’t understand. I was so scared to send him off to school but his therapist said that integrating him may help. The first day, he ran into class. He didn’t even say goodbye! I was a mess! Worried that something might happen and he cannot express it. I watched the cameras day every minute. I cried most days when I dropped him off! Then bam 💥 he kinda just started progressing and fast! He is now verbal, above grade level in his work and while he has his personal struggles, like eating and using the potty alone (cause he says he scared of the toilet cause it too loud) he doing great! I’m happy that this is going welll for Mika. Jerane and I are routing for you all! Mommy you’re doing great! Mika you are amazing! I see a bright future ahead for you! Congratulations on your little bun in the oven ❤❤

Her world is really opening up and it’s wonderful. I have autism and I know how it feels to feel removed from the world. I’ve learned to stay away from things that overstimulate me. Lighting is a huge one for me. I love your content ❤

I am speechless. We can’t really say no more that Mikko is nonverbal because she is really showing out with her speech! She is doing so good. I am so proud of her and I’m proud of you mama for taking up so much time with her teaching her and being so patient and so gentle with her. I have an autistic son so I know how hard it is how difficult it can be. my son is severely autistic. He is also severely epileptic. He is 21 years old. He is completely nonverbal and he is not potty trained. So I am aware how hard it can be so I’m just extremely proud of you guys so happy to see Mikko doing so good it really touches my heart.

Love how Mikko has become so independent. Semi started last year at 3 and really struggled. Unable to communicate what she needed like the toilet, but now she is 4, it maybe easier.
About the spitting, chewing mint gum helped me alot and those pepto bismal chewing gum, helped with me the nausea. Hang in there mummy.
Not sure how it was like with Mikko but heard after having GS, pregnancy is a bit more hectic than usual. Praying for you and the baby. Congratulations again🎉 to you and Chris.

I also remember when she first said baby and acknowledged you as mama! GOD IS SO GOOD TO US! MAY HE BLESS YOU to be as naturally healthy as possible! Please avoid "protocols." If you can get a Midwife and a dollar! Medical Pros took a Woke Hippocratic Oath! You are less than a #1 priority for the fresh people in those buildings!

Thanks for showing the salivation/spitting and stomach issues. You showed how men can get anxious (sometimes from not knowing how or what to do) in certain situations. Like pat or rub? You might not even know atm. I was hospitalized frequently due to hyperemesis, being epileptic I have seizures if I don't keep my meds down. I was prescribed something, rectally as well, and it definitely helped. But the food being stuck is one of the worst. Hoping for an easier pregnancy and many congratulations ❤
