To use the Dervent pencils there is a different method to use them as they are pure charcoal pencils as they have 0 graphite that is why I think you were having difficulty

bhaiya i am having a problem with blending brushes...i dont have much brushes so i have to use them with both graphite and charcoal pencils. Whenever i blend graphite after using it on charcoal, the paper becomes too soft and i cannot apply new layering of shade
pls suggest something
