I like that. Ive carried a leatherman for the last 25 years. I can think of about a hundred uses for a chisel on a leatherman. I hope the company picks up your idea
Can't describe how inspirational your videos are! The wonderful music, the editing, the out-of-the-box projects! It all comes together to create a wondrous, in-the-moment, zone-out viewing experience. They're a pleasure to watch and push the mind to think of new, unique projects! Thanks Laura!
The small amount of free time I have Between work, my shop, and Diresta videos will now be subscribed to your channel. The music along with editing style almost brought me back to the first time I watched a Spike Jonze skate video. Awesome Job!
That's an absolutely brilliant idea, Laura. I'm absolutely going to have to add something like that to my EDC. I'll bet Jimmy DiResta won't be far behind once he's seen it.
Looks great! I think I comment that on all your videos! It’s funny I was listening to Making It Podcast just this week and Jimmy Diresta was saying he thinks his more unique vids are his bigger vids. He even said his key rings or leatherman videos. Got me thinking I want to see some new leathermen vids and here you are delivering! You’re aces Laura!
Nice, Laura. Tip: for my precision grinding I use a standard bench-grinder with an angle grinder cut off wheel instead of the stone. It allows you to control your workpiece in a perfect 90 degree angle to the wheel, making subtle moves.
Cool thing reading other people trying similarly weird stuff like I do ... did You try to put a small circular saw blade in Your angle grinder ...? Works well, too!
manfred schmalbach I like my fingers too much. I did build a saw table from a 1980 Braun kitchen machine however. (and of course cut a 5 mm groove in my tumb by accident)
Willy Nebula I use this to grind up an enormous bunch of brass hinges for a bunch of Roman Lorica cuirasses. Used it since then for pipe cutting precision grinding toolmaking etc. Tip 2: place it on a sandbag ( subtip: use old jeans legs , 2 of them one inside the other, stitch one side close, fill with sand, close it. ) Now you can position the grinder in a convenient angle. Sanbag can also be used as a versatile support when working on hard to hold stuff. Or hammering plate on...
Love the vid. The concept, the music, the editing, the skill and imagination. Fantastic. I especially like the little nod to Jimmy D, by stabbing it into the bench at the end. Perfect
As much as I loved the tiny house videos, and believe me I did, I really missed this format. Your making of little gadgets and beautiful editing has really inspired me. You're super talented
Love this, Laura. I’m from Portland where Leatherman is made as well, and the Sidekick lives in my pocket 24/7. You have a ridiculously creative mind to have come up with this mod. Would make the thing even more useful.
Did you cry a little the first time your grinder touched the chisel??? Well......... I did! ;) Genius idea, Laura! Your macro shots are the best postchristmas present I got so far! Thanks a ton!
Wow, is was just expecting another tool mod video, but your video is beautiful, great editing.Congrats for the great work with the Leatherman and with the video.
What a cool mod again Laura! And a really chill vibe in the video and it's pace... great music choice! Aaaaand now I need to think about what mod I want to do first on my next leatherman :D
Laura... if a chisel/knife combo is what you like... check out the CRKT Razel. It’s a super stout knife blade with a chisel tip. Micarta handles. Been out for a long time and ya can still find them on eBay. Approx $25-30 USD. Great mod to the Leatherman. 👍
You just never know when you'll need to cut a dovetail in a survival situation and all you have with you is your Leatherman. Well now you're prepared. LOL
Great presentation. I especially like how you seamlessly integrated the steps for making your cutting fluid.Really hope someone from Solingen is watching this ;-) The woodworker knife could also use a marking knife and a saw, maybe an awl.
Oh, I've got a whole new attitude A lifetime subscription to gratitude Friend you've got to change your latitude Live in attitude of gratitude I am grateful for the life I am living Who knows how long I will have it I'm thankful for all I've been given We make appreciation a habit There's no time like the present day to have a present come your way All you have to do is grab it So now I think that you will see (you will see) There's nothing more you need My friend, this ain't no platitude (platitude) Just an attitude of gratitude (gratitude)

Perfect for those camping trips when you really want to use drawers for firewood, but don't want to skimp on the joinery.

Hab mal wieder vorbeigeschaut.

Sidekick is my favorite leatherman, great mod, great video!
Was thinking "why tho" until you demonstrated its use with a hammer. Surprising to me that it seemed to work just fine! Keep it up, love your work.

The best thing of this mod is probably the smell of the Ballistol.
Very cool Laura.
