- Paul’s instruction to the believers in Thessalonica was to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thess. 5:17). But between the hustle and bustle of everyday life, that can seem like a pretty tall order!
The reality is, God designed prayer to energize, not drain, us. In this message, Dr. Stanley explains that when we make prayer a priority, we reap a whole host of benefits like comfort, guidance, and confidence.

I really enjoy Dr. Stanley too. My Dad used to listen to him every Sunday when he was alive.
As a homeless teenager, I managed to come across Dr. Stanley's picture in the newspaper, regarding his rapid recovery from an operation. I remember clipping his picture and keeping it inside my pocket. Many years later, Dr. Stanley led me to the Lord via one of his many broadcasts. To think that the Lord Jesus Christ, had whispered in my ear, that he knew where I was at the time, and also provided me with a snapshot as to who would lead me to salvation. I love this guy!

I used to wake up in the morning and his show would be on.. I never thought much of him or his message.
Now that I'm older and cartoons are no longer my priority in the morning.. And I've given my life to Christ Jesus.. I watch Dr Charles Stanley and I tell other Christians how great his teaching style is.. I keep telling people like I'm the only one who knows how awesome he is. 😂.
So I didn't have a picture in my pocket.. But I had a memory in the back of my mind , and just like you I say to myself.. "funny how this person has been in my life since I was a kid.. And now as a adult I find him again and now I love listening to his message from the Lord himself".

When I was 46, I became single. I prayed and prayed for years for a partner, a companion because I couldn’t handled being alone. But I never did get one. I finally accepted being alone, now I’m 74 yrs. old. I’ve been ok all these years understanding that he’s my companion and my provider. Thank you Pastor Stanley, I will now pray without ceasing. Amen

I don’t pray for a partner, however; I thought I should have someone but I know now why it’s important I have a relationship with god and no one else. He is my father. And he’s made me whole so I understand that I’m not alone, but in the best hands known to this world and any world.

Divorced at 35 and I used to pray for a new partner as well, back when i had one foot in to Christianity. But ever since God completely got me, I could literally care less about companionship with the opposite sex. And let me tell you, the holy spirit is strong in me. God won't even let me look at a woman in a desirable nature. I'm still very much attracted to women, don't get me wrong, but he just doesn't allow me to view them like that anymore. Now I do have a choice on the matter, but after God saves you, you're given a gift which makes it easier to resist the temptations of sin. When before, I didn't even have a choice, much less even being aware that i was sinning.
I absolutely believe that you and God must have a close relationship first and in time he will send you the best of the best after putting God first. Wouldn't you rather be alone than with the wrong person that brings the stress out instead of the best of the best of you both for a long HAPPY respectful and honest relationship with love that God has been working all out for you. Just stay SINGLE and work on the best possible relationship with God and his son jesus christ and believe that if you do you have the right person in his timing. Never rush God because he knows what is best and the timing. God bless you and your godly life and I wish you the best ❤🙏
I’ve lost my mom in 2012 my dad in 2019 and my wife in 2020. But I’m so greatfull that God will never leave me or forsake me. I have a wonderful relationship with him, Jesus is my best friend, I pray that everyone will seek a relationship with Him in Jesus Name I Pray Amen❤️

I used to pray a lot then I stopped for the most part. My life spun out of control pretty fast and stayed that way for a long time. Bad things were happening but I couldn't see it. I was truly blind. Long story short, I re-devoted my life to God and am back to praying a lot. We have conversations, He makes me chuckle, He makes me feel comforted, and He makes sure my mom and I have what we need.
One of my favorite times of prayer is sitting by my vegetable garden after dinner praying for a bountiful harvest.
God is an Awesome God!!!

Brother I too was Prodigal, and the whole time I was fooled by the father of lies into thinking I was ok, see I was reading to much stuff of new age and the belief that I was in control of my life . I had to lose the things God knew would bring me back to him , I suffered 4 days , then I came back on my knees crying out and begging God to forgive me , and guess what God ran yes he ran to me with open arms, and with forgiveness ,he said son do you know I still Love you ,he took me by surprise when God ran . Now its been 3 months and he's giving me my family back , Praise God in Jesus we are forgiven Amen . You can do it brother its the best love in the Universe Agape Godly Love One Love from above Amen :)

I'm always so sad that Jesus toke the pain for us on the cross. It's so beautiful though the power of his blood are sins can be removed. Thankfully, the holy spirit helps us pray, learn, and stay close to Jesus and his beautiful love for everyone.

Recently I put forth a petition to God, something that I wanted to do for Him. I was sure the 'money was in the bag' so to speak but then I found out there's a good chance what I had requested will not happen at least not in the way I wanted it to. God seem to have other plans which I'm okay with bc actually what God seems to have planned obviously is a better way. So I'm grateful. Now I understand why I woke up just after this video had been uploaded a few minutes ago. God wanted me to watch this. I kept crying. I started to prioritize prayer months ago then I stopped. Now I'll make it a priority again. I am thinking about how it is I could have a closer relationship with God. Well I've been praying, a little, but not actively setting a time for it. Just whenever I feel like. And I asked for God's forgiveness regarding that. I know, he's been letting good things happen, and I understand now that it was also to get my attention. I wanted to live my best life, it is wonderful that that is what God wants to give me. 😭

Rev. Dr. Charles Stanley is faithfully a man of God. I have been following In touch ministries for over 10 years. He is a good teacher because I am able to understand his sermons without difficulty. He has helped me to have a relationship with God. I have a prayer room in my house and it is full of material I have received from his ministry. I wish that I could meet Dr Stanley in person but more importantly because of him I believe and trust in Jesus Christ. Through Jesus I may received eternal life. Dr. Stanley is truly a disciple of Jesus Christ . He speaks clearly and truly in love . The only true blessings is truth that will ultimately lead to repentance and change and a place prepared in Heaven . Thank you Dr. Stanley for your spiritual wisdom .
"I come in the name of the King" was something said by someone who was SENT BY THE KING to say what the KING wanted said. Jesus said, "Anything you ask IN MY NAME, it shall be done." The only way that we pray IN HIS NAME is if the Holy Spirit is praying that prayer through us, guiding our every word. Too many times, I have prayed from my own wants. Those prayers didn't get answered. Whenever the Holy Spirit has guided my prayer, it ALWAYS gets answered. In John 14 Jesus said that the Holy Spirit would come and the Father would "send Him IN MY NAME". The day He showed me that, my prayer life changed. It is now much more a Dialogue, as Pastor Stanley was talking about. I hope this helps someone.

I may have arthritis in this left hand because it is sore! I have been a like warm Christian my whole adult life and didn't even know it! Not until Nov 2018 when I finally joined a life group at my church and we studied ROOTED... oh wow... in the months to come, I was TRULY saved... I could tell a difference.. My everything changed... I am truly blessed by Dr Charles. Even when we mess up totally ..... he is totally in control. It's humbling to know when we mess up that God is still in control. It doesn't mean that God will beat you over the head with your mistake ... he will still be gentle and forgiving with love.
