actually he is Japanese. He acquired the armor fro European traders. He guards the bridge because Robert - his son, was taken to the monks at Senpou Temple in hopes to cure his conditions with the Rejuvenating Waters.

Dude I totally agree on the rhythm game thing. It occurred to me when I was fighting Genichiro. I think we can safely call this the dark souls of rhythm games.
aren't the others from software games the same? I remember watching a youtube vid on how the Dancer is such a hard boss because her rhythm is purposefully different
@@marcusc9931 well attack patterns are mostly guided by the rhythm at least in dark souls 3, but they aren't really noticeable. Btw yea the dancer of the voreal valley goes contrary to the rhythm
@@marcusc9931 They definitely are, but I think with Sekiro it is a lot clearer. Dark souls is much slower, which is why I didn't make the connection until now.
@@marcusc9931 I think that the main difference is that in Sekiro you have to parry the attacks so you have to hit the button at the rythm of the fight, while in the other games the usual strategy is to just hold block or roll out of the way of the attacks
@@marcusc9931 Yeah, all the souls games have a rhythm to fighting, but I meant in terms of what he was joking about in the video. By rhythm game I meant it resembles something like guitar hero, because of how you're constantly pushing buttons in patterns dependent on the enemy.

I use a reshade plugin that partially greenscreens stuff out for me. The rest I just do with regular masking.

All this information is very usefull, so probably Robert and Armored knight come from Spain (Judging the passion of the Japanese for Spain and their constant tributes to this country) with a "classic european armor", fully of metal, and a nice tribute too to Dark Souls style.

To clarify for anyone who doesn't see why, when you die your second and third revives get slashed through until you deal a deathblow or die fully, meaning you can't use them. The suicide tooth can be used when you only have a sliver of health left to kill yourself and _not_ strikethrough the revives. Good for if you're a stage or two into a bossfight and not confident you can get the deathblow before you take enough damage to kill you a second time.

@@Krackerjax There is an item in MGS3 called Fake Death pill. Works the same way as bite down and blue tooth. Gives you fake death. Well in sekiro it actually kills you but you have the choice to revive the only benefit is that you get to revive again even without performing a deathblow to refresh it.

Haven't made it to the swamp in Sekiro though, and it's doing a great job of killing me better than any previous FS games. Cheers to that paddlin' I'll be taking.

The reason why you would use bite down/ hidden tooth is in the event where you know you're going to die against a boss, you pop the item and you die. But unlike the normal death from dying to an enemy, the moment you get back up, you immediately have access to another revive. It's ridiculously helpful.

Hey Inferno, aren't you glad that there's finally a FromSoft game set in the far east? I know how much you love the katanas from the Souls series and now there's nothing but katanas. Isn't that great? No more silly ultra weapons. Or whips. Or tridents. Or ladles.
Seriously though, it isn't that bad since his holiness, our Lord and Savior Miyazaki finally fixed Souls PvP. By removing it. Brilliant, I never would've thought of that.
Funny enough, this is the Fromsoft game (not counting Armored Core, Tenchu, or King's Field) that has the least amount of usable katanas.
Corenn yeah they did use those maybe not as weapons but those all worked in a combat setting, many weapons were large and heavy not to the extent of a great sword but they are the size of an arm if not larger and they would be used to completely break and cut armour,look to European weapons, not to mention a whip actually worked very well on a clothed person as they easily brought you to your knees from the pain. Tridents well they aren’t exactly a very used weapon they still had their advantages, ladles aren’t exactly a weapon but like the whip could be used to fight.

Turns out that swinging your weapon straight down on enemy's head is the most useful and practical move around the world. Geralt uses it and Sekiro uses it as well.

sekiro is a incredible game, i only wished that he had the same replayability of dark souls
It has tons of replayability for challenge runs and if you didn't pay the game proper respect and do all dialogue. This game excels far above dark souls in character. It adds a lot to different areas as well in terms of atmosphere.
Sora Maler as someone who doesnt care about Souls PVP i find sekiro equally replayable as any Souls game i've played.
@Sora Maler I too, am a pvp player, but souls has always been a pve game first, and I respect their decision to make a pve focused entry. This gave them the creative freedom to expand on the format, and honestly I already see how with expanded weapon options, and a similar style, pvp could be taken to the next level. Have faith that Fromsoft has not abandoned pvp, but intends to master it, and expand on it, as they did by focusing on pve.
@Sora Maler I too get their point, but have to defend Sekiro because it is masterclass and a huge leap forward for Fromsoft.
Maybe from software will add pvp in a dlc
