So nice to see you so comfortable. Your visitors must be good people, or person, to leave all in place and clean. Maybe one day y’all will meet. Take care - Texas 🐾🐾😎
That plant is called a Pinky Promise Snowberry: The attractive, mounding form makes it a lovely plant to fill in borders. Just as summer flowers fade, bubblegum-pink ornamental berries fill this shrub amongst the glossy green foliage, and last through fall
I just read up on snowberry. It's native to the Pacific Northwest of America, and is a food source for birds and wildlife in the winter. The berries are not edible to humans, but they are a natural source for saponin, a natural soap-like substance, and Native Americans in the Pacific Northwest used it as a means to clean their skin and hair. It naturalizes well in other places, and is considered an excellent garden shrub. There's more information, but I'll leave it up to Alex and his other viewers to look it up. Your guests chose a good plant for your cabin!
Yup I recognized snowberry right away. We have them all over here in the PNW. I grow & sell them. They're really tough & often used for restoration projects. They don't need any care really, & the tiny pink flowers are pretty neat. They'll spread easily by underground rhizomes.
@@TrialAndError8713 They survive down to at least minus 40. Supposedly they prefer slightly alkaline clay, but we have mostly sandy soil here, acidic. They grow everywhere from full shade in the forest, to full sun on the driveway.
That is a really fine place you have built. So happy you are sharing your time your experience in your adventure with us. You are a good man. God bless you

I love this dugout. Very well built. It looks very cozy. Such a beautiful place to relax and have a digital detox really. I loved travelling though Siberia. I hope to do it again. I walked along the old Trans Siberian railroad.
Quien llega es otro señor que hace videos, pero siempre cuida y limpia el lugar.. reconocí la cabaña, no recordaba de quién era. Que bueno verte de nuevo, disfrutando de ese bello lugar
I remote areas that I have visited, people always leave a little food of some sort, usually tinned, plus matches. The custom is that take what you need (if you need any), but leave something in return for the safety & survival of others.
The dugout is a nice little respite from everyday struggles of life. A pot of mushroom soup, a thick slice of hearty bread and sauna after the meal. Envious am I? Not so much, as I’m glad for you.
Good Morning Alex, thank you for another peaceful relaxing Saturday Morning I can't believe I missed the sauna build but its a very good relaxing cleanse if you can stand the steam
So glad no damage was done by whoever came there & that the messy mice stayed away.🐀🐁 The soup looked so good & so simple to make. Nice to see you relaxing.
Well I am glad they didn’t do damage to it. Time to split wood and stack it to start drying. Dinner looked good. Glad to see your able to do more my friend. Keeping you in my prayers🙏🏻
Hi Alex. I enjoy watching you live your best life & appreciate all your hard work u put into building your cabin. Looks fantastic. I’m glad others had the privilege to stay at your cabin. Maybe next time they will remember to put the latches back on the window & door 😊 Big hi from Australia

What a wonderful little place! Complete with a sauna!! That’s amazing!! How far is it to the nearest town? Thanks for sharing your hard work and lovely place with us!! And soup !!
Great friend for planting the rosehip. Very useful plant and very tasty. The other plant looks like a common snowberry, also called waxberry and ghostberry. If it is, the wildlife will like it. Don't eat the berries. Instead, rub them into small wounds. The stems can be boiled to make soap. It's a medicinal plant, but use it sparingly as it is toxic in large quantities. Also, worryingly, it's not native to Europe or Asia, so would be classed as invasive. If it's not a common snowberry, I'm not sure what it could be.
Hi!!! I love your sauna and the house!!! Everything there is perfect!!! Congratulations hard work!!!!and the plant l don't know!!! But l wannt to know!!!!!😁
Excellent video! The e-chainsaws are great. I use one at work often. Nice and light and no messing around with fuel or problems with starting. Thanks for sharing!
Welcome back, I've missed your broadcasts. The plant is a snowberry (pearl tree) or Symphoricarpos Caprifoliaceae if you want to be precise. It can grow to 6 feet tall and sends out roots in all directions. If you wish to balance the shape or reduce the size of the branches, best is to prune at the beginning of spring. The berries appear at the end of summer and last all through winter, but beware, the berries are POISONOUS. Hope your health has returned to normal. I have missed you. Ontario.
