Well Misaki can manipulate an Esper's mind and erase all of the math knowledge the Esper has, so he won't be able to use his powers. Or she can modify the Esper's mind to the point where he no longer believes in his power. I think
Its actually the contrary, she has so much power that she has a hard time focusing it in 1 place or controlling it properly. The remotes and other objects she carries with her are just a tool for her to focus them and guarantee her power wont go on a rampage or do something undesirable
@Kamijou Medi yea she can't restore them, heaven canceller even said that he didn't have normal amesia but that part of his memory cells were completely destroyed and cannot be restored (if touma didn't have his right hand then magic could've healed him)
Let's be honest she could probably take over the world if the right circumstances appeared

if I remember correctly, she can't restore all of touma's memories, and she also doesn't do it because she swore she wouldn't.
