- Paul Weller and Bruce Foxton back together after almost 30 years to play the Jam hit "Eton Rifles". This was a charity benefit at Woking Leisure Centre in aid of the local Hospice (Weller and Foxton both ex-Woking boys!).
There’s something about Bruce being there that ignites Paul. Paul’s even singing more like he did back in the day. A lot more attack. It’s a shame we’ll never see Paul, Bruce and Rick perform again, because they had something that nobody else could reproduce. Even with two of them, that spark of energy is still there. It’s a shame that they can’t all get along, because together, they meant and mean so much to their audience.
I’ve seen a lot of groups during my life, but nothing touches what The Jam produced live.
It’s great to see this, thanks for posting it up.
exactly .. Bruce Foxton makes the beast out of the frontier. Separately, there are warm dumplings. These texts can not be presented gently. There must be action and aggression.
Seriously, fucking animated, looks more into this than anything I've seen him do post-Jam.
Gun Of A Preacher Man straight facts brother
Agree with everything you say. Fantastic bassist and lead support.. they were beasts at their art. Probably the best duo ever.. Foxton was a huge part of the writing, production of the Jam and him and Rick stepped up and took over to help Weller out after their 2nd album ( modern world) as he had writers block thru fatigue and loss of confidence. All mod cons was one of their best... one of the best bands ever. I miss them.
@@shaunevans5876 I agree, All Mod Cons was their best. I think the Jam might reform for a world tour sometime soon, they would make a shit load of money if they did. I'd like to see Rick and Bruce get something back for all their hard work in the early years, which made the band what it was.
Met Bruce Foxton in London. Lovely guy. My brother took the worst blurred photo of us that I'll forever be disappointed with.
OMG!! They hardly spoke for years and it's so good to see them onstage together!
The Jam, my fav band of all time great to see Paul and Bruce together again. :)
I saw them at the Palladium in NYC in '82. They let a bunch of us in to watch the sound check and to hang out backstage after the show each night. Very nice guys.
Marvellous, And Bruce looks exactly the same!!
COZ Wellers been on the sniff and piss for years. thats why he looks fucked.
Great stuffffff! Come on lads! Let's have a Jam tour and Album! Yeah!
Nice to see these guys have renewed their relationship
Sound Affects has one of the most overlooked Jam classics on it in my opinion; Dream Time.
it maybe overlooked but just look at the surrounding albums. all are magnificent along with sound affects.
seen a few incarnations of pw and I think its fair to say the no one can do the bass line of rifles or malice like bruce, its like cooking you get the ingredients, follow the instructions, but its not the same as nigela
Am . shut your hole .
Never seen this before. Brought a tear to my eye, wish I’d been there.
Great to see them back on stage together
The Jams best song.. I wonder would Paul ever fancying some day just doing one big gig with Bruce and Rick.. Be bloody marvellous
I bet money has been offered and he says nah no fucking way everytime
Good man! Listening to The Jam, you can't go wrong! One of the all time greatest of British music!
So grateful to have grown up with the Jam.
Just a shame that the Eton Rifles are still running my country.
Yet another Etonian in number 10. When will we ever learn.
To see the great man live, words can not even come close to say or describe the honour
Bought a tear to the eye..magnificent..thanks for post, very happy!!
Many thanks. If they ever decided to reunite, even for a money-grubbing tour, I'd be genuinely excited.
It would be the fastest-selling concert of the year.
This literally brings me to tears in a good way. Thank you
great to see them on the same stage together again.
more energy than weller has displayed in decades. next stop: buckler.
Weller once said " to reform the Jam my children would have to be starving in the gutter....and that will never happen, anyway"...a Jam reunion will never ever happen
Don't hold your breath.
One of only two bands along with The Smith's who, unfortunately for us, will never, I repeat NEVER, reform.
Given Buckler can't get along with either of them, doubtful.

The Jam Don’t Need To Reform!
They already have!
Russel Hastings is doing a great job!
The reason from the Jam is so good is because Paul Weller isn’t in it.
Paul Weller is a fucking wanker!!!!! Weller is a joke! Paul Weller is a middle class champagne socialist ego maniac!!!!!
Weller is a prick!
Paul Weller isn’t the Modfather!!!!!
The real Modfather is Roger Daltrey.
Weller is a ego maniac! He thinks he is the Jam, but all of us know, Bruce Foxton is the main one in the Jam, The Jam is Bruce Foxton, From The Jam Are great! There the real Jam, Paul Weller is just a joke now.
Bruce seems to energise Paul Weller in a way that other sidewinders don’t. This performance proves that The Jam shouldn’t be dismissed as an adolescent band. The chemistry is clearly still there. Imagine if Rick Buckler had been there too. The roof would’ve come off.
Goosebumps! Well done Paul a d Bruce. Dixie looks and sounds great...xx
he fucking sell out everywhere if he did THE JAM tour, nice to see them together again.Pure Class..
Well-i will NEVER give up hope of a Jam reunion. The Eagles once said ''Hell will freeze over before we get on a stage together'' -What happened??? They Reformed!!
takes me back to my early teens - awesome .shame rick was not there .. needed the drums
It’s a long long time ago.
I saw the Jam twice in 179-80 & and I have enjoyed From the Jam X 6 .
Mr Weller has made it clear he would never go back which is a shame but the odd performance like this can’t hurt , so let’s hope we get to see this again with Rick of course, the fan base is still there but none of us getting any young lol Phil age 57

So ,so true ; I am 54 now & well remember hearing they had split ; i was in a state of shock. If only the 3 of them could get back together ; the jam & mr weller are still huge.
God, what a gig that would be. Mod culture is still massive.
Is it also, not about time that the modfather became Sir Paul ? Long overdue i feel.
Brought a lump to my throat. They were something else live.
Watching this..just brilliant...I know in my hart of harts it'll never happen..but what a show those 3 lads would put on if it did ...The Best Band in the Fucking world ❤
HEART
'and some of the lads said they'll be back next week.'
In that case then Rick can come along?
David Kay - Pretty Girl - supporting From the Jam me supporting Bruce Foxton earlier this year, have a watch!
Waow so excited we want more Mr Weller. Get back together again IMO
I am old enough and lucky enough to have seen these men in their heyday. Weller is better with Foxton at his side. During gigs Wellers voice often gives out and Foxton picks it up...lovely melodies too.
I would give up my house, husband and kids to travel to any gig these 2 or even better if Buckler decides to bury the hatchet as well....
paul hasnt moved that quick in about 30 yrs
Saw the Jam in 82..Best gig i've ever been to by far
this just draws you in as thought your there, thanks for posting, you can see weller was having it,HE fucking loved it,brill stuff,it took to long

Amazing, thanks for sharing.
Fantastic! Great to see the boys playing together...and what? A big money deal? Not on your nelly! I love it when people like this will do something this great in aid of the local Woking Hospice charity!
Rick Buckler's no slouch either. Thank you for posting this. It made my day.
Paul needs 15 other musicians to help him play the tune. The Jam could never do a one off like that.
I understand paul wellers prospective of moving forwards musically but the jam were iconic to ignore the past in this case is to piss on it.revisiting older songs doesnt mean your ignoring the present just saluting what was.all love boys.
My god . the fire was lit there . foxton and Weller a match made in heaven
~~Paul is so happy/reaxed when he"s the Jam~~xx
Fantastic.
At least.... It would be a pleassure to come over and see the jam, i was to Young but love the music, best Wishes from sweden
Rick Buckler looks fucking cool now - he looks like John Malkovich or Ben Kingsley or fucking Yule Brinner in Westworld. He needs to go to hollywood or summat or to be a big film star, yes I think I would like that.
+TheOriginatorX what you did there, I see it.
But didn’t we have a nice time?
That's how you do it foxton Weller
I was here for this just after the RAH hook up. Awesome.
In tears!!!
A MASSIVE SMILE FROM ME
Bruce Foxton is fit as 30 years ago!
+Ruiyang Xiao Still has that mullet too unfortunately!
he had to have a hip replacement and hes still bouncing..
Good to see a potential oasis jam reunion in 2023 or 2024 👍🎸
love this moment
Would've been topped off with a certain 'Rick Buckler' on the drums.....
2 dislikes hang your heads in shame!
as for the SOUND AFFECTS shout...been listening to this alot lately...& its as tho' this record more than ever sums up all what is this once great land of ours....sadly one of the most overlooked records ever ...still my fave JAM album ever this was the JAM sound in all its glory!
keep the faith
おおおおおおおーーーーー
ポールが歌ってる❗Thanks SO much!
相変わらずのポール節、Foxton氏にやけてないかな?
Amazing moment!
Got all excited then. Thought it was now 2023
Sounding as good as ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What's the drummer doing? He's making a complete hash of this. Just shows how well The Jam worked with the original three people.
Sounds like he tried a bit of Funeral Pyre at the end
40 years ago this month
All 3 Should be back together filling stadiums
Brillant ❤️✔️
I'll be there with you Liza!!! so jealous you got to see them.
Saw The Jam at Whitley Bay Ice Rink in 82. I was 14 went with my mate whilst my old man ( rest his soul) took my dog for walk waiting too take us home. It was my first ever gig still ranks as one of the best ive seen even 30 years later.
Don't think i would like them to reform as Weller n Buckler obviously hate each others guts so it would only be for the ££££.
I Really LIKE This... I was a little bit to young to see them Live between -78 -82. WOULD do a lot to see them, if they will ever play togheter...great sound´s and I like almost every single song from them. DO anyone know something about a reunion?
Take care
Why not do this occasionally? Please Paul x
Imagine, just imagine, suspend time and they get back together for a final tour.
I have seen Paul twice, but nothing in this fashion...I love The Jam and Style Council.
Foxton didn't seem out of place or uncomfortable at all...It's as though he'd never been away...Total confidence...P.S Is it me or did Weller lose his cockney singing accent when he left The Jam ? He didn't sing with an accent in The Style Council or Solo ? I could be totally wrong with this observation mind....Any thoughts ?
Fantastic.......can we have a real comeback please? If steps can do it.....surely a true legendary band can???
Hurray! What a nice day
we never forgot
amazing !!!!!!!
ahh this just makes me so happy
This is at the Royal Albert Hall, London
Sung with passion
We should get a petition together, march up Stanley Road and stage a sit down protest until they go on tour as The Jam! Anyone with me?
Seriously though, I would sell both my kidneys and liver to see The Jam!
Bruce and Rick bought the best out of Weller, what he's done since would sound better with them involved.
Agreed. Maybe they'd even tell him that he sounds like a dick singing in that ridiculous fake American accent.
i was a few rows in front of you - what a night mate !!
probably the Jam are the only band I would pay a lot of money to see
I am 44 and was lucky enough to see them 5 times in the late 70s early 80s (Living in London and having a cool older sister) was great. I saw them at the Rainbow when I was 12. Excellent band but too much bad blood between Buckler and Weller I fear. I agree that Weller has never had the success since that he had with the Jam. I saw From the Jam when they first formed and they were fantastic....if the Jam ever reform I will leave my husband and kids and follow them to each and every gig.
Awesome
come on paul get the lads back together for one final time
Our school ran a trip to see The Jam on their last tour. We went to the Leicester de montfort. They were the days when there were so many bands worth seeing and in relatively small venues. I hate stadium rock, well, unless I have a AAA pass. I'd love to see the Jam play again but I don't think Rick plays anymore. I've seen Bruce with a few different bands over the years.
Wow.
Them, XTC and The Smiths are on my list.
Especially Them.
I'm right there with you... it's been 7 years and no one on your list has reformed. I doubt any of them will, sadly.
I agree. The same as the Clash did and others. Its nice to have made some good records and know when to call it a day. You get these bands that have one or two original members and they keep on touring and don't put out anything of note.
Wished i'd seen it live, seeing the man in november. What chance have you got against a tie and crest,it don't get any better...................................... WE ARE THE MODS.
Paul strung his bow that night, he needed Bruce on his left though
You can not beat the original line up. So get Rick back in the fray!
that's as close to jam reunion that is ever likely to happen
paul weller always thought about paul mac and lennon , but the jam were bigger them
jessie .james ha ha ha ha ha 😂
"Bigger" in the sense of less famous, less popular, less talented, less remembered, less innovative, less iconoclastic, and less remarkable, sure!
Lmao! Muppet
I hope they never re-form. Leave it alone. They were great, and one of the greatest things about them was that they knew when to stop.
Sheer CLASS.. clapham grand here i come!!!!
still got it!
That freaking guy waving his crap around at the front.
@charliedearmound91 isnt buckler with foxton in from the jam?
