  • Hi! We are preparing an easy cool recipe for a delicious strawberry souffle. Only 5 ingredients and the result is just wow!!!
    INGREDIENTS:
    For strawberry puree:
    200g strawberries
    50g sugar
    1 tbsp corn starch
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    For meringues:
    4 egg whites
    50g sugar
    powdered sugar for the sprinkle
    For ramekins:
    soft butter
    sugar
    COOKING METHOD:
    1. Grease the ramekins with butter and sprinkle with sugar. Put in the refrigerator.
    2. In a blender, grind strawberries, sugar, corn starch, and lemon juice. Strain the strawberry puree through a sieve.
    3. Pour strawberry puree into a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer until thickened. Cool to room temperature.
    4. In a mixing bowl, beat the egg whites until soft peaks. Gradually add sugar and beat.
    5. Gradually add the egg whites to the strawberry puree and mix. Stir gently so that the dough remains airy.
    6. Layout the dough into forms. With a knife, align the top and use your finger to make a recess around (the dough will rise more evenly).
    7. Bake at 360F/180C for 12 minutes.
    8. Sprinkle the souffle with powdered sugar.

    Hello, why is it necessary to put sugar on the tins before the mixture? I'm low on sugar so I'd like to know if I can skip on this step
