These CS2 Cheaters Just Lost Everything

- After a ton of speculation and disappointment surrounding VAC Live, CS2 has just received its first massive ban wave with hundreds of accounts receiving the hammer along with the thousands of dollars they had in skins.
However, even with this good news, some are speculating whether or not this is truly the beginning of a bright future or just another bandaid on a bullet wound.

I cannot, for the life of me, find out why some people are downplaying the cheating issue instead of addressing it for valve to do something about it. Closet cheaters are the worst man.
the real problem is that some cheaters going beyond and read off the ram of your system (hardware cheats) which can be interpreted on a 2nd computer and therefore have a radar where all enemies can be seen. Because it only reads the ram you can't detect it. Those cheaters have just too much money somehow ...
@@Michael-yb7jh > The riot anti-cheat is what got me into valorant over CS

It was your behavior and VAC, not Riot.

@@Viraled You know there are lifetime subscriptions right?
EDIT: Theres also free cheats that are currently undetected.
When I was younger all I cared about was ELO and I cursed cheaters for making me lose ranks, now that I'm older all I care about is time, each game I encounter a cheater, both in the enemy or same team is time lost from a limited daily hour pool and this is what angers me the most.
I had 3 rounds in a row with real life friends where we encountered super sus people every game we played, not blatant spin bots, but Waller's and possible aim bots, I was jiggling angles and not exposing and they were prefiring and pulling full running headshots, 3 games in a row, so discouraging because it's hard at 30+ with a life to get friends together or even have the time to game at all.
@@Huardo Exactly, I'm 27 and I'm lucky that I almost always meet my real life friends in discord to play in week days, but having like 3 hours free each day and using them to play against cheaters is pretty angering.
like they're slowly killing you. all you have in life is time.
yeah im 29 and im not happy with the state of cheating in general in 1.6 you saw a cheater maybe 0.5% of the time, and it had vac and people cheating it just wasnt desireable like it is now, Look up random Cs2 Legit cheating videos on RUclips and you'll find people making money off of videos and promoting certain cheats.. its heart breaking.. having only 2-5 hours a day to even relax and unwind from life and its against cheaters.. makes me so sad :(
I think the hardest part about breaking the cheater mentality is punishing toxic players when they're called out for cheating. So many toxic players cheat, then say "git gud" or "mad cuz bad" etc. Cheaters need to be shamed out of existence.
it wont ever work i put a post on the steam discussions page for CS GO with a link to they guy live streaming on youtube his cheats to sell.. and a link to his steam profile so they could be reported
they took my post down cause you cant name and shame.
and was still streaming / cheating on the same account months after.
So many good players shit on people and say git gud. So if you don’t have a RAT on his pc you won’t know if he’s cheating or just good.
this is a double edged sword, i say the same shit when bots call me a cheater, anyone from silver-mge/dmg thinks ur cheating when you one tap them and read them like a book lmao
I say that too when I win. Thats just toxic fps community

I would love like a legal auction of banned skins. Imagine if people could buy the skins off banned accounts (after some time ofcourse to negate false bans), like Valve could just put them up for an auction and pocket whatever the new owner bit for it.
This would avoid legendary skins potentially be lost forever cause of a single loser.

Aimware is legit the most banned cheat of ALL time. This isnt justice served. This what they all knew was coming. At least the non moron one's who didn't link there accounts to there cheating account. They just make a new one and start over. No justice served here brother.
Im like 90% sure subtick was introduced by valve as a way to collect more data from clients to feed the anticheat with more priceise inputs as it would help decide if someone is cheating.
If the anticheat only gets a maximum of 64 actions per second there is a limit to what VAC can conclude from the data but if a cheat client triggers multiple events at inhuman speeds between ticks or similar stuff the VAC anticheat would detect it. I just think the main issue now is that valves VAC live AI needs to train on more data from players that they are certain were cheating.
sounds too good to be true
That's... I mean, don't get me wrong, that would be a genius idea.
But like... I can't believe in it. I'm hopeful though.
This is just completely wrong and a total mis understanding of how sub tick works. Fml no wonder people are just talking non stop bs when you people are throwing shit like this out there for people to read and gobble up as fact.
@@Frostile Oh splendid, yet another tech guru that knows what's unknowable.
Two things :
1 - Sub-tick implies that by performing an action in game, said action is sent to the server with a completion time attached to it. The server then reads all that information, and proceeds to calculate a sequence of events in chronological order using the timestamps, and then sends an updated status of the game on the next tick, which we now know is each 1/64th of a second. Therefore, for all intents and purposes, it would be possible to recover the data of one player's inputs during a match and list them. Whether they are doing so is, as was said by the commentator, not certain, even though he feels it is likely. Personally, I don't.
2 - Do please introduce us to "how Subtick works", which should be unbelievably easy with no official statement of how it actually does work and only mass speculation on its actual algorithmic functionalities and 1 minute PR video. And don't bother stating that "it works by sending two files per tick, one smaller one and one bigger one no bigger than 1301 bytes", because I know that already, and if anything, that makes the possibility of reading the inputs from players and compiling them in a statistical fashion all the more likely.
Stop coping. AI anti cheat has not worked in any game to properly detect cheaters. CoD tried it and now they had to implement a 7 day cooldown to manually review the AI’s reports because of all the false positives. AI depends on the data it is fed. Valve is cherry picking gameplay from who they think are closet cheating, if other closet cheaters play differently they won’t be caught. If regular players play the same they get false positives.
The only thing AI is good is catching blatant cheaters which Overwatch was already successful at.
Crazy idea for a CS2. First purge all the items now stuck on these accounts that can't trade. Make a case, sticker capsule, and patch bundle called " returned from the void" collection, where it contains a finite number of items which everything repo'd. From the cheaters.

During the beta I felt like I played a cheater maybe 1 out of 4 games. Now I feel like it's probably half the games I play.
1/4 is still way to high considering there’s only 10 players in a match, it’s unacceptable.
I tried playing comp and was up 8 to 4 in first half. Didn't win a single round in the second half because someone on the opposing team left and then turned on hacks
Out of 30matches in cs2, i only had like 6-7 full legit matches.
In the others was at least one tracking enemies throu walls across the map, jump headshotting everyone or even spinning, knew every rotation and instandly knew where the last dude was in a 1v1.
But the clean matches i had have been so much fun and the mates so nice, i never had that good matches in csgo

Closet cheating is huge in CS2 people need to realise just cause someone isn’t top fragging or carrying the game it doesn’t mean they are not cheating. There are closet cheaters who only go hard when they need a important round which will end up wining the game.
ye
Usually referred to as “legit cheating” and it’s honestly worse than blatant cheating. At least with someone who is blatant, you know they’ll be caught eventually and you can write it off. But when someone is legit cheating, you have people in the game coming to their defense because they don’t know how to spot it.
Aimware is a detected cheat among the hvh communities from the very start. People were getting banned for using that cheat in CSGO too, there are other cheats out there, which are totally undetected and can be used to wall, aim and rage ingame.
Them disabling demos probably emboldened a lot of people too
I'm saying this now, this fight is not valve alone to shoulder. We need to do our part aswell to report and vote kick teammate that cheat. I've just had a game not to long ago where the opponent team have a cheater to which their team turned a blind eye, and did absolutely nothing about it. And it's infuriating. We need to unify against this, winning doesn't matter if it's not based on the merit of your skill.
There is still plenty of cheaters in CS2
plenty ? since they released premier mode there is more cheaters than EVER, its obvious since they got more motivation to cheat to become top100 player worldwide
My games in the morning have no cheaters at all. In the night, however, my team and I get put up against at least 2 cheaters almost every match.
How designing a game from the ground up to ensure cheating wasn't as difficult as possible wasn't their number one priority is beyond me. They had the opportunity to do that with CS2 and just didn't. At this point I think most people would welcome far more intrusive anti-cheat.
Cheaters in video games should be convicted similarly to people who hack into bank accounts. They are no different from cybercriminals and deserve long prison terms.
Thank you. i realized pretty fast that there was a ban wave as i lost 3k rating for playing 1 match with a apparent cheater.. (he was bottomfragging and we lost the game) i am veri sad. Never re-Q with randoms, people have to be vetted through and through. :p
Allot of those clips can easily be regular gameplay, heading gunfire and pinpointing the location, spraying and praying it'll go hit through the wall. Sage
I'm currently doing placements in premier, i fail to play more than 1 game in a sitting bc of the cheating. Currently played 10 games, and on every game i have 1 in the game finishing 45 kills+, pulling the most random kills in clutches to the point it cant be legit. I get some people are good and dont have a rank yet, but like cmon i dont thing ive had a game yet where a player havent done a 1v4 and 3 of the kills comes straight through smokes/walls.
Only had 1 game where someone was blatantly cheating and that was before the release of Cs2
All i wanted for a new cs was 128tick and a better anti cheat we got neither
subtick better tho just wish that the animation sync tho.
Machine learning anti cheat will probably start out slow but these things ramp up exponentially it’ll if trained properly can become very efficient it does, also for anyone brain dead saying cs2 is dying already, the player base is some of the highest in series history
I’ve had 3 cheaters on the other team in 1 game. I’m getting a cheater every other game it seems too
Me and a buddy used to be be Guardian Elites, but haven't played in years. We heard about CS2 and hopped on to play wingman and goof around. Get placed into Silver 2 and half of our lobbies have had cheaters in them. Silver 2 is nearly the lowest rank in the game, why cheat at such a low level??
Even playing CS2 purely to goof around with my buddy, the cheaters have made us give up the game after about a week of playing. CS has always had rampant cheating, but it feels even worse now.
I dont know where all these cheaters are but theyre not in my games. In GO I legit had a cheater every 100 games if even. I downloaded some demos when I was suspicious but it turned out they were just better almost every time.
In all of the Games I have played so far, I don’t think I had a cheater - definitely not a spinnbotting bhopping something as seen in many of these vids.

The situation atm is so bad. I'm getting called out for cheats while playing in Silver 3 stoned out of my mind. You know it's bad if you call the bottom fragger a cheater after he spray and prayed you with an AK.
I already got 4 messages from leetify that a player i played against got banned. Two from the beta and 2 since release.
No one is gonna talk about the true gamer drink in the background?
The Johnnie walker red label
I have no idea if they were actually cheating but, 3/5 games seemed very suspicious.
My matches have been mostly clean, or at least I thought so until I check Leetify and see that at least 20% had cheaters that got banned in them, and who knows how many more that just didn't get banned. If the cheaters are good at hiding that they're cheating they'll ruin so many matches without getting banned and no one will even notice. Unfortunately since Valve doesn't want to make a good anti cheat I think cheaters are always going to be a huge problem in CS. When ban waves happen most will just buy a new account, new cheat and continue ruining the game for many people.
2022, There were over 1 million accounts that were vac banned. To put that number to perspective, it equates to 2 accounts being banned every 1 minute. While you are queing up in lobby, searching for a match, there is couple accounts at least being banned. There is a closet cheater in every single game. I have over 8k hours in this garbage game, but unfortunately there are closet cheaters every rank, every platform. Pros are cheating, noobs are cheating, face it level 10s are cheating, the game is a hot mess from the beginning. It will never change, unless the view and perception of what gaming is changes. We adore, admire and cheer for streamers and pros who are good at the game, and young teenager who witness this will be encouraged to cheat to achieve that status from others. Im a 43 year old casual gamer who owns and runs multi million dollar business, I don't need to prove anything to anyone online, and no desire to cheat. Its just a video game to me at the end of the day. Its pretty disgusting how young generation of kids are becoming cheaters, and liars who will lie their way to the top. Valve needs to understand and make a executive decision to actually ban all cheaters and enforce much intrusive anti cheat for the game to prosper. I honestly feel like CS2 will be the biggest joke unless they address this issue now. But what do I know, Im just a dad ranting. Have fun !
In Beta i never played against a cheater, every match was fun, but at release i feel like every second game someone is cheating, idk if its just me who has this feeling
Ur just bad
The higher your elo the more you’ll see them. Sometimes I wish I was learning cs for the first time again..

Hopefully the A.I is just in its learning phase atm.. and it will kick into gear with full release ? thats what im hoping..
Valorant Vanguard: Crap they’re actually doing something for once.
I have those same logitech speakers.....love em!
the matches I've been in have been seemingly clean, like yeah there were a few questionable plays/shots but that can be pinned down to how the elo is fucked rn, like I was in Master Guardian in CSGO and now I'm playing against silvers in CS2, and every now and them I'm getting matched against people who were DMG or higher but because they haven't played enough to get a rank in CS2 so I'm getting matched against them. I haven't been playing Premier tho, just matchmaking since the game dropped. If the people were cheating, it was subtle, you could easily pin it down to elo diff or just plain bad luck like getting running headshot from Scaff when I'm sitting CT on Mirage.
i fell like in almoust each game there is at list 1 or 2 cheaters i have now 15 hours cs 2.
I’ve faced one blatant cheater but I have been very suspicious of a lot of other people I’ve played against. Could totally just be me being mg1 facing globals during placement tho.
Already meet 3 cheaters in different games and it's extremely blatant prefiring all the time even with questionable situation
Assumptions aren't Fact. You only conclude it's cheaters when you don't have any reasonable doubt
Valve makes money from banning and allowing cheaters to play on new accounts. It's a circular business model that makes them lots of money. Why would they want to stop that?
No players = nio money
Since CS2 came out, my matches have not been clean at all, here in Australia every second game that I play, I play against cheaters, it's very easy to detect a cheater, which is their aim is sh**, all they can do is always playing angles, prefires and know pretty much everything about the player's position. Most of the players in premier ranking matches are getting boosted by cheaters, you can tell easily this guy's game is so sh*** but how come he's on the top? I hope Valve starts banning those players who play together with the cheater in their team, ban them at least for 2 weeks, and take away their ranks, if they do that again then start banning them permanently.
skincel's seething
IF the rumors are true, and the new VAC system is using some form of AI learning to better detect active cheaters/cheating software, it would make sense that its taking time to get to a point where its accuracy is enough to ensure its not hitting non-cheaters, but its still something I can only be cautiously hopeful for
CSGO was fed with Overwatch data, CS2 there's no Overwatch but I'm hoping they do add it back. VAC has been AI trained for a really really long time. They were ahead of the curve with the AI market but I still would like to see VAC be way more aggressive. They have so much data so I feel like very soon we should see cheaters go way down.
CoD is one of the biggest game devs in the industry and their AI anti cheat is a failure. They had so many false positives that now when the AI thinks it detected a cheater the player gets a 7 day cooldown for the report to be manually reviewed.
AI is only as good as the information it is provided and how it is set up to read that information. Valve would need to get really lucky finding every gameplay styles of all the different cheaters and then pray to Gaben that no legit players have the same consistent gameplay.
Think about it like this, if someone is VAC banned for software but they never cheated, the AI would think their gameplay is how a cheater plays. If valve tries to filter it on software detection plus overwatch review, what if overwatch was wrong?
Reality is it will be great for catching blatant cheaters and there is little to no hope it works well for closet cheaters unless valve is really lucky or there are a lot of false positives.
Given that VAC bans have a potential for immense monetary loss (inventories worth hundreds to thousands of $) it makes sense that valve is very slow to role it out at all. And thats even after they claimed a few years ago that the AI anti cheat they were working on was 99% accurate (bs stat not based on reality but still).
VACnet has been known about for a long time before cs2. I don’t think they are using it yet in cs2, but I imagine that parts of the game are designed for further data collection to feed into it. It’s possible in the future we will see vacnet implemented.
CSGO already had a machine learning system that scanned every match played for behaviors that indicate blatant cheating, banning the offender. It was called Vacnet. There are even talks on YT about it from long ago by Valve engineers. As for what you're suggesting, that's not how machine learning works. You don't just have it observe some system, and it magically learns what is going on (here, figuring out whether someone is cheating blatantly or not). The original Vacnet was trained on determinations made by high elo players in the Overwatch program where humans reviewed clips of a player and labeled their gameplay as blatant or not blatant. They basically had data labeled as blatant or not blatant to learn from. The idea that they are tuning a machine learning solution without having terabytes of labeled data through something like a human-driven Overwatch program is science fiction. Unsupervised learning does exist, but it is much harder than supervised learning.
@@AG-ld6rv not to mention there has not been a single good implementation of AI anti cheat in the gaming industry. Those old yt videos of vacnet were a massive cope of valve basically saying that vacnet was able to detect cheats accurately 99% of the time. That is 99% out of a total figure of what valve employees thinks are cheaters not the real total figure of cheaters (or else there wouldn’t be any cheaters).

I mean, there is no way to 100% tell since demos have been disabled. A lot of cases where the other team is down 9-3 and after that one dude doesn't miss a single shot but could be normal, for my sanity I don't say anymore that someone is cheating except if i can view the demo.
This is why I like valorant. Never in valorant I go, “This guy is cheating”. But in CS it is so tainted with cheaters it is always suspected. In valorant I either have throwing teammates or I just suck.
i assumed they think that the new vac live is pitiful and just play with there main account
Is that a liquor bottle in the bottom right corner?
CS2 has confirmed to me that I can spot cheaters. Few games I have called out cheaters and they have gone from god like to complete arse (assuming toggle off here) BUT the main thing for me is the fact that in a few games I have thought “wow this guy is amazing” instead of “omg a hackers” and it has turned out I played against 2 pro players in 2 different games…..you can just tell and unfortunately so far 1 in 3 games has a cheater for me
I can play god mode some times and bad the other map. Thats not cheating, its my focus.
i hope they fix or lessen cheaters i always get a cheater on my lobby even if i bought a prime. shooting from spawn to spawn is crazy i dont know how they enjoy playing like that. i just want to play some few legit rank games after work. i dont mind losing a game but with fair game.
3:25 I'm sorry what? Inventory changers? 😂
looking good lil bro!
Its just another bandaid. Until Valve impliments a powerful clientside anticheat like Vanguard or Faceit cheaters have and will continue to run rampant.
I have had a few matches where some cheaters in it tho they was saying they was but was trying to hide it a bit but it was quit obvious.
Idk if it was a cheat but there was a few times where i was just forced to be in auto buy with the random weapons in some games and if I pressed my bind to turn it off it would immediately go back to being turned on. And what i also noticed is that ALOT of my games that had cheaters were subtle like they had cheats like aim and walls but they didn't go running around 360 headshotting people
They act like they care about cheaters lmao
Didn't have any cheaters that were obvious but I or my teammate have been called cheaters so there is still the problem that people with thousands of hours in CS still have no clue what a real cheater looks like making the problem likely sound at least a bit worse than it is.
Nope, the problem is that people with thousands of hours ARE cheating and people don’t suspect the because of it.
@@packersnerd haha true
Legit players get called a cheater all the time. That's just how the psychology of Counterstrike plays out. Someone predicts you or hits a few consistent, quick shots, racking up 20 or 30 kills, and suddenly, people are calling them blatant. The problem is only pushed further by the fact that CS2 has tremendous peeker's advantage, so often, people peeking others will appear to have reacted much faster than they actually did. I have seen some clips from the perspective of the slain where a legitimate pro basically shot someone before their model, as seen by the person fragged, could even see their head.
As for cheating in CS2, with all that said, it is still rampant. Even if you assume a reasonably tiny percent of a cheater per person, you end up with a large number of total matches with cheaters in them. For a 2% chance of a cheater per player, about 20% of all matches will have at least one cheater in it. Push that up to 5%, and we're now in the area of 40% of matches having at least one cheater in it. It works out this way, because there are so many chances per match. Assuming you're legitimate and solo queueing, there's nine chances for a cheater.
Bare in mind that there are cheaters that end up silver and all the various other ranks despite doing things like using walls or aimboting or triggerboting or using no recoil or some combination of those things. Sometimes, they are truly just that awful like they will blatantly prefire with a wallhack over and over, but they get taken out due to missing the shots still. Other times, it's the case of a person who toggles on an aimbot only on rounds where they feel like it. In other cases, it's a person who is using just a slight aimbot active all the time, so they get a few extra kills but not enough to move them several ranks up. There's all sorts of reasons why a cheater might end up at quite a low rank. Don't ever think that someone must be legitimate just because they have a bad kdr or just because they ran past a spot a couple times when someone was waiting there, taking them out.
You definitely played one, they just weren’t blatant. It’s so easy to hide cheats in terms of making your aim and game sense look possible/lucky.
Huh and I wondered how some of these scumbags instantly found me every time even in the best hiding spots. They dont even feel the need to sneak and rush straight to the bombspot and Aim right at my hiding spot....
