    A Sir Arthur Conan Doyle mystery that isn't Sherlock Holmes? Awesome! And the second time I've heard EG use the "For want of a nail, the shoe was lost..." saying although to make a completely different point lol. Thank you for posting, ChillySunshine!

    Good story to take place on a train. It's almost like the Orient Express minus few additional characters.

    CBSRMT's version of Murder on the Orient Express(LOL). Sounds like Bob Dryden is trying to be like Sherlock Holmes.

      Would that be before or after A. Conan Doyle s time?

    True story: I have a wicked brother named Timothy, too lol. Thanks for posting, but easily the least entertaining episode I've heard so far although EG does his best to philosophize well enough to save it. It begins as Doyle mystery & ends an all-too-familiar filial morality drama, devoid of Doyle's wit/charm.

    I wish the narration in the beginning and middle weren’t American, it makes me wonder if the characters accents are genuine. I’m a Brit now living in the US for many years.

    I love train stories and trains and listen to the whole story. But this one is a little whiny for me and not terribly interesting.

    I do not feel the biblical verse is truly appropriate to the story. Edward was trying to help. The other person was not so innocent as he claimed. At least he helped Edward. Sad story but quite good.

    English American accents just as bad as a lot of American accents by English actors - sound like Americans who speak English with an American accent after living in England. . . LOL
    good radio play though. . . :}

      That is Michael Palin of Monty Python Fame -- he's quite authentically English

      Which character is it? I don't hear it.

    • @michaelkottler
      @michaelkottler 3 года назад

      I believe you made a slight mistake in your statement. I'm certain the vast majority of voices we hear are 100% British save for the US characters. Of course there are moments where a US citizen character pretends to be an English character There are distinct accents associated with different regions/socioeconomic classes in England just as elsewhere. Perhaps that contributed to the misunderstanding, unless I'm totally wrong lol.

      @@marshallwarren7041 I looked up the cast and did not see Palin listed, much to my disappointment nor did I hear him nor did EG mention Palin as starring in this episode, much to my disappointment.
