    I was 3-6 p770, and 7-pw P7mc. Currently waiting on my P7mb 5-pw and keeping my 3,4 p770. Can’t wait to see. I love mizuno but I think I’ll absolutely love my p7mb the P7mc are great

    Don't know what launch monitor is in the studio but there are some huge differences in distance and spin on those shots... if that's really accurate IMO you shouldn't be hitting blades, no one wants a 148y shot and a 169y shot from the same club...

    I’ve been looking at this a bit over the last few weeks, thanks for comparing. I’d also be interested to see a 6i MC/MMC comparison. Our local club builder does Mizuno heads, If I wanted TaylorMade I need to drive 2 hours for a proper fitting. So, it’s nice to have a little re-assurance that I wouldn’t really be leaving anything on the table by not even trying the TM’s. That’s assuming I didn’t shank everything with the Mizuno’s!

    Have to agree with Luke Ali, if you played a year with Mizuno, and a year with TM I bet your score average difference would be negligible. IMO the shaft is THE most important factor in fitting golfers apart from drivers where spin differences are huge due to the 460cc heads.

    The Mizuno is 34*; the TM is 35* by standard spec. MP might be a bit longer as a result!

    I think you've done well with your choice
    I definitely prefer the combination of P7mb - p7mc vs Mizuno Mp20-mc20, or hmb Cleaner more natural transition to the eye.
    I currently game 620mb 9-4iron with 718 CB 3iron. That's the only other company that I like the transition between irons

    You know I here that a lot from RUclips reviewers of golf clubs..”is it me or the club..probably my strike is off?” Kind of drives me crazy...here’s the scoop...the golfer and the club are a team, therefore it’s you and the club that effect the results. Saying that, it’s also the grip, shaft, head combo that makes how the club feels and swings back and through the hitting zone, how the sole interacts with the turf, and if you are anticipating a horrendous sounds at contact causing you consternation at address...so yeah it’s you..and the entire sum of what you are holding in your mitts that makes the results....that’s why there are hundreds of heads, thousands of shafts, and balls to choose from. If there were not, everybody would be playing Mizuno Blades..😁

    Seems like the TMs feel right to you and the results for them were good. Mizuno clubs are good but I do find the Mizuno fanboys annoying. All top OEM clubs are good these days. It's about finding what gives you confidence to hit the best shots you can.

    I owned several Mizuno MP sets because of the feel and feedback . At this moment playing MP18 MB (9-5) and MP18 MCC flihigh 4 iron and MP20 HMb 2 iron. Those are with graphite shaft because I wanted to try graphite for my wrists/joints but graphite for me in irons doesn’t feel the same as steel. Maybe swingweight thing. Already changed my PW to a vokey sm8 46 wedge and so much better control/feel. But want to change back to a set of irons with steel shaft and now after testing on trackman and on course am thinking about the new P7 irons instead of the MP20 irons....think you made the right choice. For me the P7MC seems to be the one because a little bit more forgiveness from the rough. That’s why I always test on trackman but also on course because it is easy to hit from a mat but it is on the course if you see if the MC gives a little bit more help when you are not on the fairway and that seems to be the case without losing the soft feel, feedback and workability. Good luck waiting for the irons because I heard that if I order now they are expected to be delivered medio November 😏

    • @Raymond-sj7cn
      @Raymond-sj7cn 4 года назад

      valdez715 hi ...didn’t like the feel of the MP18MMC or MP20MMC (because of the combined materials I think)..recently also took the MP20 MMC with me on course but didn’t like the feel. The MP20 blade for me was much better. In turf interaction, soft feel and feedback. But I am Leaning towards the P7MC in 9-5 and than P770 in a 4 iron with Nippon shaft. Had the P7MC 7 demo iron with me for several rounds now and I was very surprised about the forgiveness. For example I was in the rough and thought I would never make it to the green but ended up next to the pin and birdie. Another day I was on the left of the course after a bad drive and had a blind shot to the green over two bunkers and a small hill, had to curve the ball from right to left and that was so easy, so on the green and another change for birdie. Even thin shots seem to fligh the distance. So even though I like the blade I don’t mind some extra forgiveness if it doesn’t comprimise looks and feel/feedback and that isn’t the case with the P7MC. Even my wife is telling me to order a new set of P7MC irons because she has seen how good it performs on course. I feel an order coming 😇

      I tried both when I got fitted for my new set just about 3 1/2 weeks ago (fitter just got the new tm heads a few days before). I tried the TM mc and loved it... but then I tried the MMC and the buttery feel off a solid strike sold me on the mmc. my previous set was an off the shelf set of rocketballz and I'm about a 12 handicap. I would say hit them and see, it's all personal preference, u cant go wrong with either or.

    Just recently had a fitting with a guy who deals primarily with Mizuno. Went in wanting to like the Mizunos, but after hitting Taylormade irons I knew which I preferred. Not to say that Mizuno wasn't a good club, because it was. But I come from a baseball background where most of the equipment is based on feel. To me, golf is similar in that regard.

    99.99% of your ability to score in golf comes down to your ability to make good decisions on the course and striking the golf ball squarely. That leaves 00.01% to what club you have in your hand. These sorts of videos are interesting to couch golfers but mean very little to those who play or compete and record actual scores sorry.

    • @AliTaylorGolf
      @AliTaylorGolf  4 года назад +1

      So you think equipment makes no difference?

    • @booger65man
      @booger65man 4 года назад +1

      @@AliTaylorGolf I play and compete in a club that has ~150 members. Out of our members there are probably 25 that are 4 and under handicap with several that are scratch and under. These 25 players play a wide variety of clubs. Some even play game improvement irons. The reason they are the best players in the club has very little if any to do with what clubs they play. To answer your question directly... yes, I think equipment makes no difference. You could hand them any set of irons and they would still be the best players in the club.

    • @AliTaylorGolf
      @AliTaylorGolf  4 года назад +2

      But they still play the irons that best suit their game? If equipment makes no difference why doesn't everyone use blades and persimmon woods?

    • @booger65man
      @booger65man 4 года назад +2

      @@AliTaylorGolf Can you even buy persimmon woods anymore? Regarding blades, most people will find little discernible difference between a game improvement iron and a blade. If you make a glancing blow at contact they will both produce poor results.
      Manufactures have created the narrative that the latest and silliest named club will cure your golf woes. Get an old set of clubs and invest the rest in a little instruction and a LOT of range time practicing. That will lower your scores more than any equipment ever will.
      The premise that by selecting the TM over the Mizuno could somehow result in a huge mistake is just silly clickbait sorry. You usually produce higher quality content.
