  • Birds rarely seen in Goldcliff. A Magpie is a rare bird in Shetland and some of the birds in this video may be common elsewhere but are less often seen here.
Some, such as Pink-Footed Geese, are seen in large numbers on the East coast, some, such as the Cattle and Great White Egrets are well established in Somerset, Temminck's Stint, Citrine Wagtail and Pectoral Sandpiper are rare across the U.K. - this video shows all these and more.

Nice greatest hits compilation. My favourite is the near summer plumage spotted redshank.

Cheers Ed! Great to hear you appreciated that. it’s amazing that they change colour almost overnight, like photographic paper exposed to light then placed in developer.

Great you put the dates on, so we know what season the plumage is in. Lovely stuff.

Nice video John, missed the Pec and Temmincks, both needed for my Welsh list :(

Thanks Paul, I’ve been lucky enough to see both species twice, the Pecs only a year apart but the first Temminck’s was 2015. I’ll be sure to message you straight away if either turn up.

Thanks Dawson. I’d love to have been there this last month for the Dartford Warbler but definite signs of improvement with my foot and taking a few steps without using crutches so hope to be getting new footage soon! Hope you have a great Christmas!

Really great birdwatching. I was interested in the varieties of geese as well as they are difficult to find here and it seems in the UK. We do get the odd Brent geese in limited spots and so do you. I must add that your shooting is really excellent and the spoonbill is great. Thank you for this video. Have a nice week.

Rất nhiều loại chim ở đó . 💖

I had a citrine wagtail in Gran Canaria a few years ago, I think it was the first for Gran Canaria and the ninth for the Canary Islands. Had pictures of it for years and finally decided to upload them… turns out I wasn’t the first person to see it with two people having images of the same bird from the month prior and two others managed to get it just a few weeks afterwards- for an extremely rare bird to the island it didn’t seem to have attracted any attention with only 7 observations. Proud I managed to ID and find it myself even though I was quite young at the time. Still the only proper mega I’ve managed to find myself, would still like to see a full adult male though.

Well done Patsch! Re. adult male Citrine - me too! My only Mega was a brief view and recording of a Savi's Warbler in a location near to where a very well publicised one appeared two years before. Thanks for your reply.

@@Just_shush_now I think it might be. One came close to the same area in 2021 too. Sadly no females to respond to its call. This was footage of the first appearance .
