@@stillpaints the shuttle tiles yes but we haven't seen any examples of the starship tiles doing that yet.
Don't worry it will won't
Thanks for the offer, purchase and registration was straight forward.
"Remember, their entire goal is to make Humanity multiplanetary, and that is the goal" 😂 X to doubt. Starship is for launching 100+ ton military satellites and space weapons.... There's nothing on the barren dry cold radioactive desert of Mars where people would need to live underground. People will never colonize it permanently. It's a cover story.
Starship is for more Starlink and encrypted military data links. And probably kinetic weapons, which will be feasible and cost effective now. SpaceX is the new NRO
you are so positive about space-x, but i don't trust them.
maybe in 2035 the 1% elite that rules the world is leaving earth with 10.000 starships, and saying...
GOODBYE idiots, oh and we forgot to tell that a comet is coming to earth...
nope i don't trust them, i don't have a ticket...
Marcus thank you for not being a Click Bait channel. All kinds of channels were flashing up “Military Takes Over Star Ship” which is total crap.
Its a serious topic and would be unprecedented and it would never be made public. Mind you the government and specifically the defense departments are the biggest consumer of SpaceX work.
@@billhanna2148 NASA has launched significantly more payloads with SpaceX than DOD has.
I’ve noticed that too! Good comment!
I agree.. but it's sad that we have to thank a creator for not putting up click bait ..😢
Shouldn't be the norm..😂
Given musk's political views and declarations im of the opinion that now he's demonstrated the technology and feasability of reusable launchers, he can go crawl back under whatever rock he came out of and let others take over. The guy is a total sociopath and traitor to the country that took him in, no doubt he'll answer for his words and actions in the near future.
A quick correction: Starting at 19:00 the Crew 9 members are shown. Stephanie Wilson is to the extreme left and Zena Cardman is to the extreme right. Thanks for the great video as always. 🚀
The funny thing is you can even read on their patches what their names are!
Wow, nice of that fellow to send you the tile Marcus. The journey and nostalgia of Starship debris spans the globe 🙂
Isn't the tile technically SpaceX property / ITAR regulated?
@@ADAMSMASHRR I mean probably but come on I want it
@@captainjackpugh6050 Really cool to see, but isn't falling off a bad thing? Hate to ruin the party, hope someone can explain why it isn't a bad thing. Carry on.
I think SpaceX could make a good business selling scrapped parts 😅
@@wooddogg8 "Falling off"? Ya mean: when it BLEW UP??? (Did'ya notice that part of the flight?). Not ruining the party at all: that's what testing is for.
You really gave the most interesting and comprehensive info about PACE. Your weekly content is so looked forward to that in my house it’s a little like church. Lol.
“Everyone quiet! Marcus House is on!” Even the dogs will wait until it’s done.
Haha, very cool. Hi Family!
Its the same at my shop. Most of use work a half day on Saturday. We have a flat-screen up on the wall in the shop.
About 6:30 am Saturday morning, we all gather with our coffees to watch Marcus.
Nice, I wish my house was as enthusiastic as yours, maybe one day when I have my own family.
@@jimpiaz9537 That's really cool.
We watch two Aussies religiously: Marcus and Kurtis. Never miss either one of them.
I never comment, but my family and I really appreciate the great coverage, Marcus. We look forward to your content every week!
Excellent video. .
Those rocket booster landings never get boring to watch. .
Thank you MH + Team for keeping us all updated
Nothing better than start the weekend with a well done informational video. Thank you very much. 👍
@20:39 The ol Mark One Eyeball..... I've been using that term since BSG!
I worked at a surplus store in Winter Park, Florida. The boss scored a damaged heat tile that had been removed from a shuttle after a flight. Its like a piece of Styrofoam with the Magic Shell chocolate sauce that you pour on ice cream and it instantly hardens. Anyway, he put a torch to it, got it RED hot, took the flame away and immediately touched it. It was cool to the touch. It was amazing how quick it dissipated that heat.
Your videos are the thing i look forward the most after my Saturday lunch, support from Italy! 🇮🇹
I love Italy. From the UK.
I look forward to your videos every week! thank you!
I think I get about one nuisance phone call a year if that, but for others I imagine 'Delete Me' would be an awesome service. Nice sponsorship on that one. Really enjoyed this video Marcus, thanks!
When starship lands on Mars I'd love to see an entire book of Marcus's videos showing the timeline of starship development from starhopper to landing on Mars. With all the beautiful photos and descriptions to match.
Starship will put supplies into orbit. But it will never go to Mars. We also have no way to land on Mars. The parachute and sky crane used for the later rover probe are as big as they can be. We have nothing that can land people on Mars.
Marcus House docu-series anyone?
Yeah the many documentaries that will run with that will be interesting to see the anti musk media reflected in the story..
@@davidelliott5843Because these kind of predictions are completely reliable throughout history I see
You mean crash-land .. no legs, no mechazilla.. it's one thing to land a small rover
Great episode. really appreciate the graphics which complement the commentary. All the best
19:10 I think someone inverted the astronauts hahaha
Thankyou once again my friend. Your calm collected reporting. You seem to be the only channel that focuses on known facts, intelligent predictions based upon those facts. Your no hype no bullshit way of conducting yourself. Seriously intensely researched. Thank you.
Looks like we are in a space renaissance.
I enjoy your weekly fast data bursts right into my brain. Thanks Marcus and Team!
I didn't think the thermal protection shield hexagons would be so light!
19:00 Imagine dedicating your entire life to the dream of becoming an astronaut, eagerly awaiting the day NASA announces your name for a future mission. Picture the overwhelming joy, the sense of accomplishment, the thrill, and the pride that flood you in that moment. And then, the crushing disappointment arrives... you're assigned to the Boeing Starliner, and with that, you realize your dream of seeing space will never come to fruition.
Until Dreamliner is demoed they'll only assign veterans to the project, or Canadians to let them feel like they're helping
Worse, you're flight to the cape is in a 787 max.
Well, not never...but a super long delay. Starliner is finally going to launch this April 14th with Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams to the ISS.
@@ThatOpalGuy 787 is not as bad as a 737 MAX ...just saying
@@markb2773 Really? Would you want to be on that first flight? On a spaceship by Boeing that has not had an uneventful test flight of any kind yet. Good luck! I hope there is a dragon on standby to go rescue them.
Thanks for each week great video without click bait
Dream chaser is so cool. I love space planes and this one looks amazing!
Wonderful episode. Fantastic shots of the second launch and it was nice to see that tile. I look forward to my saturday morning Space dim sum.
Marcus extremely moving content my friend. Love it & the comparisons of the telescopes are breathtaking. Thanks a bunch for the explanation too.
I wait for these all week, thanks as always Marcus!
Great content as always. I especially liked the run down of the specifics of what we're seeing in the JWST images beyond it being just a pretty picture.
Another great episode, Marcus! Thank you to the team for putting these together each week.
Go SpaceX Go Elon Go Tesla !!!
I’m amazed at the skills of all the people that work on the ground, especially the crane operators. They make the whole process look easy, but moving tons of steel of all shapes is no easy task at all!
nice to see crane operators get some recognition :) (i've operated towercranes for 10 years)
@@crashtestdummy87that reminds me of the video of a crane oprator just moveing the crane so some guy is in the shadow of the crane on a beach
These are amazing updates. I would love to see longer and more frequent videos, but despite this, these updates are more to the point (facts, not crazy speculation and gossip) and up to date than many other sites dedicated to SpaceX. I really appreciated the comments related to Star Ship not being taken over the the military. Other's jumped to conclusions, you did not. Many thanks.
Cheers mate. Best weekly mid-dive out there.
Great to see the WB57 footage from OFT2 at last.
Thanks Marcus for sharing.
Wow. You got a tile!!!! Way cool
awesome find getting those tiles from the beach well done to the guy for sending you one
Thanks Marcus! You're by far the most easy-to-watch Space update channel, I'll just drop everything and go to your video lol
Like always Marcus. Great job! Thank you. Coffee, Saturday and Marcus House. Look forward to it every week.
20:03 I hope your data shows many people watch till the end. Your last few minutes are always incredibly engaging! Thanks for allowing me to kick off my Saturday right! ☕️🚀
I watch pretty much all of every video I select on youtube. I wish others were that nice when watching mine.
Thank you for another excellent space video! It's so amazing that you have an actual heat shield tile from Starship...
Loved the James Webb discussion at the end! It must be a great time to be an astronomer.
One of the things I love about your videos is how you'll sometimes casually drop a term or phrase that sends me off on a diversion down a rabbit hole somewhere learning about something new. That's especially true of the deep dives, but it happens in the regular videos as well. This week it was the phrase "slosh baffles." What a fascinating subject! I'm still not sure just how they work, but the idea seems similar to the way a barrier reef protects a coastline from damaging waves.
Thank you for another lovely weekly update! I have less questions in chat now because I remember what I learned in the videos. You'd be a fun instructor even if that's not something you had considered before.Have a great week Mr. Marcus!
Thanks Marcus and team for continued excellent updates if Space related activities 👍 So much happening, so much to cover. Its a pleasure supporting your teams efforts each month.
Marcus, always a pleasure to get this on Saturday mornings!!!
another great Saturday with space news!
Those JWST shots are mesmerizing
Best space updates channel on RUclips!
Why thank you! 😍
You're not wrong
Always a pleasant & informative way to start Saturdays. Thank you Marcus. 😎
Thank you Marcus and Team.
Thank you for the amazing weekly update as always! I especially enjoyed the coverage of PACE. I learned so much and I'm glad you take the time out to inform us of everything interesting.
Wow it’s been a week already. Thank MH
It has indeed!
@@MarcusHouse thank you
Ahhh the highlight of my week
Amazing speed at geting the videos out
7:43 - maybe NASA's footage is more from the side and it could easily be seen how the plume interacts with the first stage and maybe even get temperature calculations from the footage. So if someone ( lets say a company in country on another end of the world ) is making a similar rocket to Starship, that would be very valuable information. On SpaceX video you dont see very well what is actually happening on top of first stage at separation.
As always your keeping me up to date 😊
excellent update as always ! Thanks from bonnie Scotland 🎉
Awesome video Marcus House and your team! I really liked the end part about the differences between the Hubble and James Webb telescopes. Someone should do a deep dive into these that could be understood by folks like me.
Wow
That new NASA footage was amazing huh!?
We've gone from 'The Most Complex Vehicle' ever made mentality to "The Best Part is No Part.."
19:03 FYI, you swapped Stephanie Wilson and Zena Cardman.
The Crew 9 ladies are wrongly labelled; Stephanie Wilson is on left and Zena Cardman is on the right.
nice bits of it washing up on the beach
18000 on it
Another great update Marcus, thank you!
I have to tell you this and I genuinely hope you read it. My 4 year old nephew is a MASSIVE Muppets fan! And he was sat across from me this morning while I watched this. When it was over, he looked at me and asked with all seriousness on his little face, when did Kermit start doing space videos on RUclips? 😂 I honestly never noticed this before, but I checked, and he is absolutely correct. Your voice sounds remarkably similar to an Aussie Kermit the Frog! 😅
Let's hope he doesn't wave his arms and go "Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy" at he end! 😁
@@David-yo5ws I would pay real money to see that, I gotta tell you. 😂
Love your channel, have your years. Although today you unintentionally made me laugh. Image, heat shields made to survive re-entry survived, well, re-entry. lol
Thank you! 😍
Awesome video as always. I love your work!
I'm wondering if they are gonna build basically a mock tower that's only equipped with the chopsticks. That way they can try the landing catch without risking damage to the main tower.
Great video. Thanks.
Hello Marcus. I enjoyed this episode, even through my "mark 1 eyeballs". Keep up the great work.
Pausing the video. Have to pair it with a cup of coffee. BRB!
Thanks for watching! 🤩
yes , also with tea here 😂
@@fishwhisperer262 must be british, The universe waits for no one to wake up.
yes a scot !
I want a Starship tile.
Another fantastic edition. Well done, good sir!
7:32 I think someone finally has some sense to tell Elon to keep some of the discoveries to ourselves. There was probably a crazy angle we haven't seen before that would give the Chinese a HUGE leap in troubleshooting that we figured out. It's like going fishing and just handing out all of your GPS points to the community only for the fish in those spots to be decimated.
Oh please
Thx! Great as always 😊
Love Team Marcus House work. Might want to display newish terms spelled out such as, "slosh baffle". Pretty sure that's what you said and meant. It costs nothing and adds to your educational clarity.
Team MH really knocked this one "out da pahk" !! That James Webb finale' along with the collegiate quality narrative went into my brain like a cold beer after a hot day's work ! Most refreshing and stimulating. Great job guys !
Whenever I see all the work going on at Starbase I can't help but imagine what it'll look like in 10 years or more. The vehicles and Stage 0 will look all clean and tidy, like something out of a Heinlein novel. I'm 58 this year, so I might get another 30 years if I'm lucky, but I want more! I want to see how this all turns out!
Launch pad*
@@ThatOpalGuy Stage 0 is more than the launch pad .. also all the gse, etc?
I can’t wait to see it where they’re not constantly doing construction
SpaceX and everyone in the community call it Stage Zero these days...Besides there no pad anyway...
Fantastic work as always.
Hey hey
Thanks. Great video as usual.
Great job as always
Another great video Marcus, outstanding coverage.
Yes. Let's hope so.
The shots by James Webb is just insanely fascinating
Thanks Marcus.
Love your work bro. Thankyou!
Heat tile hunting actually sounds fun
Congratulations! Very Nice and Interesting Video . Excelent Explanation and Analyses.
Great episode thanks Marcus your coverage is great
Titanic breath-taking. Just the towers' transportation done in short shrift. Imagine huge cost/months/planning/Union's permission/ if it was government run.
Awesome insight, especially with the potential slosh-baffle modifications to the Booster. Do the tiles float? Thanks!
I would be torn between preserving the tile and trying to burn it. Lol.
I think those JWST spiral galaxy images look like some of those fractal images - Mandelbrot & Julia
Boy, they sure have a lot of confidence that those arms will be able to capture the rockets OK. Trust the sims!
Thank you very much Markus, you great ! :D
The honeycomb like features, of the gasses in the swirling arms of the galaxies, is pretty common it seems. And so cool to see.
a possible explanation of why the WB-57 footage was redacted might have nothing to do with Starship, and everything to do with the camera on the aircraft going beyond what they are willing to admit it can do.
Thanks dude
thanks Marcus
Thanks for this video!
I am TOTALLY jazzed about construction of tower two getting under way!
Nice job.
Looks like the Aussies have this space ex aerospace thing on lock..haha I love it
just incredible..
Heheh “mark one eyeballs”
Thank goodness for sponsor block ad block etc hahah. Glad your channel is doing so well!
