As someone who grew up when Diana & Fergie were senior royals it is evident in many ways that although they did good works they werent suited to royal life. Perhaps that was in part due to there unstable childhoods. I dont think that P William & P Catherine are simply " rule followers" - they are intelligent, thoughtful and respectful of their positions and have embraced it doing their very best to represent the UK and Commonwealth. I remember Robert Fellows and the awkward position he was in serving the Queen and trying to rein in 2 young ladies who he knew well personally. Also P William's Earthshot competition and building of homes for the homeless is to be commended alongside P Catherine's childhood project aimed at supporting children from birth. They present themselves impeccably and shine a light on all the organisations that they represent.

Very few videos of the walkabout at Windsor after QEII' death show how Catherine literally bolted from the car and ran to catch up to William when she discovered she and Meghan were last ones out of the car. There was no way Catherine was going to engage in a little tete-a-tete with harried's wife for fear of saying or doing something she would regret. You can tell by the sheepish look Meghan gives Catherine that Meghan knows the truth behind the who made who cry incident. As someone who grew up when Diana & Fergie were senior royals it is evident in many ways that although they did good works they werent suited to royal life. Perhaps that was in part due to there unstable childhoods.
