I drank and ONCE partied with hispanic manager involving MaryJ.... next day i had to drill with ROTC.... but did not have time to sleep proper or shower.... that began a down spiral and paranoia resulted from college brain altering substances ONCE. Dragnet and my ragged and rugged beliefs helped me avoid the pit, but i was scarred for life. 20 years ago truck driving gave me a break from the pee pressure and i felt better.... but caring for family brought me back to the negative peer pressure and the geo-political subliminal psych pressure. I see the difference between Patriotism Webb presented and Left and Right wing protestors and how each tries to POSE as the other to sway people in between both INCLUDING foreign nationals with different social and cultural bases then Americans. Thank youtube and preserving these shows i wish school kids watched Americana involvung this rather then the DEI and Critical Race theory they get.
That clip really doesn't say much, but it is possible the title fits. Dragnet had a lot of episodes that leaned to the left and maybe that was their intent here. IIRC, the only reason they were after the "militia" in this episode was because they obtained weapons that were "illegal". I don't know that a "militia" would ever consider itself "police support", more of a "SHTF and all the cops left" support. Or, if you want extreme cases, they'd be opposed to the police.
I will see what I can find. Things would be so much simpler if there was just one universal system that covered all instead of multiple programs. It would likely be less expensive as well. I'm fortunate that I have quite good coverage via insurance, but every year the cost goes up...as it just did this year.
Got to give credit where it's due: "Dragnet" did shows about child abuse LONG before it became Movie of the Week material, and it did a couple of shows (like the above) where it took on radical far-right nutjobs.

The John Birch Society wasn't a would-be paramilitary, Robert DePugh's Minutemen was.
If your contention is that the "Fielder Militia" was inspired by some other group, then it's odd that Jack Webb would expect the audience to think of a more obscure organization when The Minutemen was by far the most widely publicized/criticized armed right-wing group in that period.
Hi and Picard from Star Trek were really good at that sort of speach.
Gotta love when Joe goes off on a rant.
Who disliked this?
3%ers?
Proud Boys?
Q'ers?
Well, after Tuesday's debate, I figure Trump for starters and then most of the rest of the current GOP.
Assholes. That's who.
Probably a FN idiot like you
the Brits ran into those radical home guards that morning in Concord & Lexington...1775......
They were protesting a large corporate monopoly, The Dutch East India Company, supported by the British government that was running up the price of tea and forbidding any competition. Quite a different revolution, wouldn't you say? In fact the opposite of what Proud Boys stand for.
This problem is as old as the country and not going away.
Sleep tight.
Joe Friday just have been 35 here. This is what 60 cigarettes a day, and 8 measures of liquor every evening do to ya.
People think that joe Friday was conservative because he didn’t like entitled liberals, but he was on the side of logic and supported reason.
Which is why it's odd that this comment section is full of liberal scum trying to "claim" him.
@@marshalironsides8777 and full of people who are exactly like the guys in this clip trying to recruit him into their extremist right wing fascistic group and stealing from the Military for personal gain also trying to claim him. With zero sense of irony. :D
That is the way we should do things in this country - by the likes of logic, reason and learning. Thank you for this post, because it makes me think - and it makes me want to think.
@@marshalironsides8777 liberal scum? LOL do you right-wing extremist think before you speak? Obviously you don't and Joe Friday in this clip is speaking facts something that you right-wingers can't accept and that is truth💯
Correct.
Yes, that is correct for some. There's also about 8 million people with disabilities who receive Medicaid rather than Medicare. In my state most disabled end up on Medicaid rather than Medicare.
He's not a trumper.
Probably the most unintentionally funny show of all time.😏
Remember a protest leaves a city looking the same it did before and after a riot defaces and demolishes private/public property.
"it doesn't include racists, white or black" "it includes nuts on either fringe". Listen to the man.
Yeah how dare citizens use their god given rights to bear arms.
I didn't hear Friday say anything about Ultra Right-Wing.
That actor at the bar is in the Star Trek pilot with Jeffery Hunter. He has a unique, compelling voice. He was a good helmsman. I don’t know why they did not use him. Perhaps “too white”? The old doctor in the pilot was excellent. Guess he was too old, so they got McCoy instead.
He fought fascists, he knew.
Now I know why I liked the library cop on Seinfeld 😀
I like how the guy at the end walks up and says,”hey, what’s going on here?” Wonder what the next line of the script is!
"Anybody Know where I can buy a Luftwaffe dagger?"
This should be shown to all the misfit lackeys that get used. But doubt they would be wise enough to read through the lines
"I am the man in the middle, for where I stand determines where the middle is". I don't know if he originated the phrase, but I first saw it used by Sidney J. Harris. And, of course, it's true.
Never realized Joe Friday was such a liberal - nice!
thanks for posting! how timely!
1958Shemp I played it because no one can give a speech that fast. That was the appeal of Friday, he was a character. My advice for you is lengthy Anger Management because you are over the top angry. Watch this. Do NOT reply to this. I got 10 bucks that says you will because you CANT stop yourself. HA!!!
"Let me ask you; have you ever heard of MAGA? "Make America Great Again?" I got a hat right here! Come on, put it on!!"
How little things change.
Joe Friday probably dodged 2 dozen Antifa dickheads screaming ACAB and Fuck 12 on his way to deliver this lecture.
I didn't hear Friday say anything about Ultra Right-Wing.
Now, those militia guys then decided to just outright join the police.
Dammit this show was centuries ahead of its time!
Nah things don’t change.
Nobody gives this kind of lecture like Joe Friday.
Today's Republican Party would consider Joe Friday a radical leftist.
Even Barry Goldwater said the Republican Party was going nuts.
The GOP today is fully retarded that’s why
@@MikeGoesBadaBoom,the Democratic Party is a brainwashed cult that puts prices on the heads of those who leave it.Just ask the man who was honored by Jesse Jackson's Rainbow Coalition and supported Hillary Clinton's Senate run.Have you guessed yet?🍊🚹?
The Democrats would call him a fascist because he believes black people can be racist.
Sad but true
We used to stand for something as a country
And then conservatives sold us out
bot@@MikeGoesBadaBoom
I did. No resemblance.
Him, sorry, Him and Picard.
That's okay, my friend, you corrected the spelling - good spelling and grammar are a must in this day and age.
No, I'm not a member of the Grammar Police.
“Im familiar with the claim” best dig ever

THANK you Jack Webb GOD BLESS-----and that is where i have to reimmerse in our constitution. 56 years ago I embraced secularism.... as world events unfolded I became an avid Patriot.... but being provinicial I know that can lead to scapegoatism and bigotry and prejudice...40 years ago when i turned 21 and was able to legally drink and whatever.
I think Joe said it well!
An accurate description of the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers.
"It sounds like you would really benefit from some military service. You know, we're always looking for a few good men."
Joe Friday for President in 2020.
Excludes nuts on both side....perfect.
Does anyone else think Paul could be Brad Pitt's dad? LOL
I will see what I can find. Things would be so much simpler if there was just one universal system that covered all instead of multiple programs. It would likely be less expensive as well. I'm fortunate that I have quite good coverage via insurance, but every year the cost goes up...as it just did this year.
Joe Friday didn't start talking PAST the other person/people in the scene until (0:58). Dialogue!
LOL, he Godwined his whole argument.
It’s a simple prospect for Joe Friday…the law.
"--and they have no anti-tank or ack-ack whatsoever, they're sitting ducks!"
Listening to this on 4th of July 2020.
I love his deep voice
I used to get stoned and watch this with my mom. We loved the drug content.
Especially the Blue Boy episode
We thought the cops were gay and still do.
Got to give credit where it's due: "Dragnet" did shows about child abuse LONG before it became Movie of the Week material, and it did a couple of shows (like the above) where it took on radical far-right nutjobs.
it also dealt with the far left wing nut jobs, not all of us on the right are "nutjobs"
@@feralbigdog Since 2000, your side is winning the death race...more people killed by right wing nut jobs than left wing.
@@momhouser you say that, yet the highest death rates are in places run by democrats, chicago, new york, where they have the strictest gun laws, and if you want to talk wings, ill throw in the abortions, which are absolute murders, of the most helpless there is, and that is decidedly left wing, as those of us on the right oppose it because life begins at CONCEPTION, not when the first breath of air is taken. ive been around guns all my life, never once taken a life, unless you count varmints like copperheads, mice, and a woodpecker damaging my house, and each of those instances was perfectly justified and handled responsibly(2 of those snakes were in my house, thank God for a crickett rifle and .22 snake shot, killed the snakes and no damage to subfloor or anything else). now if you would like to point fingers, i suggest you drop the left/right nonsense and look at what the real causes are, people being brought up without faith, without morality, without common sense, without values regardless of color/gender/ethics, without respect for life, mental institutions that use to house dangerously mentally ill now closed, parents not being REAL parents anymore/punished if they *dare* spank their child for bad behavior claiming it to be abusive-i was abused, and i was spanked when i was bad, they are not the same things, they are decidedly different, we have kids bein taught to hate america in schools and colleges, we have fools allowed to act without responsibility and then we turn around blaming police, God forbid we should find out what really happened before we rush to give a drug user a kings funeral 3 times in different cities, we have people glorifying criminals and the hell with the victims- case in point that blake shooting, 1:he refused, not failed to but REFUSED to obey the lawful orders of a cop, had he did was he was told instead of going for a weapon he wouldnt have been shot, 2: he is being glorified like a savior by NFL and he is a DAMN RAPIST! HIS VICTIM? 14 YEARS OLD!!, this is all a symptom of the real problems, and its not guns or gun owners, there was a time when kids would take a gun to school, in the back of their trucks, or in their backpacks and no one got shot, they would use that gun to shoot dinner on the way home, no not every person who owns a gun has acted perfectly, we are all human, but we do no service by blaming a tool and its owners as a whole(same thing done to cops, a few bad apples...) instead of looking in the mirror of society for the REAL PROBLEMS, which i plainly gave you.
I think it also depends on the nature of the disabilty, ie. short term or long term / life. Nor is my state one that will pay Part B.
Joe Friday wouldn't be welcome at Mar-a-Largo parties, then...
I never agreed with Joe back in the day but he was absolutely correct.
