Just bought this exact same exhaust from DCC and it sounds freaking amazing!! video is real good but as expected from a video doesn't quite do the exhaust justice!! sounds so throaty in real life!! great vid :)
Oh, what rear LEDs did you install? Its it simply just unplugging the old lights, dettach and attach and plug the new LEDs? Sorry too many questions, its the three mods I am considering, including bar end mirror to the existing bar (although, I believe they might be closed bar ends on the 2002 carburettor models), which may limit me to doing that...
+Andre Bittar I had a flipped bar in the video, but I have installed clip-ons. It depends, the tricky bit is getting the switch clusters out. There is a pin on each side restricting the rotational motion. You just have to unscrew the switch cluster and lift it out at an angle. It is also important to see if you throttle cable is sticking after the handle bar is flipped and if so, might have to re route you throttle, same with the clutch cable. Also you need to unbolt the brake line and re route it. I had to learn these stuff on the fly so it might be slightly different on yours. Hope this helps.
hey mate, looking at getting the same exhaust because it sounds great ! Was there size option when you bought it? i measured the pipe just before the muffler and it had an O.D of 2 inches? similar thing with yours? cheers
+Luke Lethlean Hey man, here's the link for it www.dimecitycycles.com/vintage-cafe-racer-caferacer-bobber-brat-chopper-custom-motorcycle-exhaust-parts-stainless-steel-reverse-cone-shorty-motorcycle-muffler-80-2000.html Hope it helps. My system was already modified for a staintune, so my measurement was from the location it was chopped.
+Andrew Silva Hey man, it will not without a baffle. I had one from my Staintune and that fitted perfectly. but still not sure about noise level. This video is without a baffle btw. My gimbal video is with a baffle.

Did you mount it the same way with just the join?
@@tso251 Yep, chopped off the orignial muffler, slid the reverse cone over and chucked a clamp over it! Good as gold
@@JonesyJoe is it legal

Hey, that exhaust looks and sounds great.
Was it easy to install the short cone? What was required to replace and install?
They're beaut bikes
hey man, was it hard to change your bars & mirrors in the vtr250?
are they clip-ons? or did you change the whole bar?

nice cafe. never the right of a VTR, sounds nice too.
No vibration issues with the exhaust just being mounted by the join?
Not really, ideally it would be mounted. The clamp was pretty tight and the muffler was solid.
Richard Jamie Appreciate the reply 👍🏼
hey mate, I'm pretty keen on the same exhaust, but just wondering if it meets NSW Noise requirements of 94dB? otherwise it sounds great!
