@keokitokyogemini It wasn't shown in the movie, but one of the Social Links in the game is Akinari, a guy who has a genetic illness that's eventually going to kill him. His final act in life is to write a story about a pink alligator. This music track was always what played during his Social Link events.
Hearing this mix for the first time I'm actually impressed! I usually prefer the original versions of songs (not remixes), but It's SO SATISFYING when the velvet room bits kick in
I'm sorry, but the jazz part just kills the mood the original song was going for for me. Everything before and after it is good, but the jazz part just feels too happy.
@@lowke8444 You have a point, I guess, but it still just doesn't sound right in this song. After hearing the original and then listening to this, hearing the jazz part would just completely take me out of the game (if it was in the game) or whatever other medium they use it in. There's a dissonance there in the feelings the two versions of the song try to convey.
@@lowke8444 I mean, imagine if this mix played with during Akinari's scenes. "I have an incurable genetic disease and will be dying shortly..." music: *we groovin'*
@@LSqre thats why it doesnt play during Akinaris scenes lol, its not like it was made with the intention of replacing the main song It's just a rendition of the song that tries a very different approach, I just personally like it and feel like it represents the emotional rollercoasters of the games well Also, it doesn't feel like it was just randomly thrown in the middle of the song, it's structured so that hopeless beginning two verses that are similar to the original song with a violin thrown in > a glimmer of hope, breaking out into a jazz solo > the main verse returns in full force, this time with a sense of optimism

@keokitokyogemini you missed one of the best social links in the entire series
Nanako actually reads the pink alligator for her homework in p4G
@@testsubject747 I believe for a few seconds somewhere in the 4th movie, you can see Akinari writing his story of the pink alligator.
😭😭😭
This music is just what I needed to keep me going right now. Thank you.

@Joshua Brancale
It’s been 4 years, are you doing ok?
This is the best version of Living with Determination. There's no doubt.

I think this might be my favourite version of living with determination
Nah
I just watched all 4 movies with my friend who hadn't played P3. Was so caught up in the story that I missed this banger T_T
The violin kicks in so hard it's not even funny
Amen man... :(
idk i thought it was pretty funny
I shouldn’t be crying this hard
Even though I haven’t beaten P3
And yet I’m crying anyway
When you beat the game you cry even harder harder
Chill beats to bawl your eyes out to.
So good arrange
One day imma play this in my velvet themed strip club
(0-0)
Lol

we're talking about persona 3 right, the game that's about finding happiness and hope in the dullest of moments?

It's like an emotional rollercoaster. I like that about it. You're sobbing and then you're jamming out and then you're sobbing again.
