It's true that, as a consumerist society, often times spectacle is the only way to reach a wide enough audience - this is truly the right use of a stage; not to promote one religion over the rest, but to promote the best message of the most important time of the year for Christians and remind us all of the timeless mission that belongs to all of humanity. Christ Pratt, thank you for having the courage to speak about the beauty of traditional values and the wonders of fatherhood, especially in a town and an industry that often celebrates the vapid and superficial aspects of progressive thought for its own sake. I know the tree consists of people that work at disneyland, well from my knowledge.. how do they select you guys in the tree, do they just hold an audition for all disney workers? been curious about that for a long time!

This presentation is absolutely stunning in it’s beauty and quality. It’s first class Disney. I had no idea that this presentation was an annual event going all the way back to 1955. Such a wonderful gift that instills the true message of Christmas.

there are so many of us heathens (myself included) who get chastised for sinning but we really k now certain acts are wrong. The beauty of Christianity is that we can be forgiven if we accept it.
So I was there on December 1st, but I was not there for Candlelight. I didn't even see people waiting for it or anything. I saw some of the people from the choir(s) walking around but not the performance. And by the time I got to Town Square again towards the end of my night, it seemed like Candlelight was just over. What times do they normally do it? I didn't even see anything on the times guide. I'd like to see it one day and I know that there is some standby room. I just don't know where because there was no waiting area or anything.
I went to Disney in this day my family split into two groups Cruz’s we neeeded to take two cars. I was on the side of my family we’re I didn’t get to see this the other group did.. sad life ( they were in the front row!)
I love Chris Pratt. That being said, I did not care for the way he "read" the story of Jesus birth from Luke's Gospel. It was like he was trying to turn it into a stand up comedy routine. Just my opinion.
Fair enough. But I think he more than made up for it with his little speech at the end. From what I've heard, it was completely off script, You can tell he was speaking from the heart and trying to convey his beliefs for how God loves us as His children.

That’s why DISNEY never advertise it or sells tickets like Epcot because it’s only for invited guests Since 1958, the event takes place at Disneyland in front of the train station.
In the Florida version of this (called the "Candlelight Processional"), a few years ago when Whoopi Goldberg was the presenter, she started it off by saying, "I don't believe any of this, but let's see how it goes..." to which half the place gasped in dismay. Strangely, Disney has invited her numerous times since then.
There are only two performances, both in the same evening of the first Saturday of December. This is because the Candlelight choir consists of a number of choirs (mostly from high schools, all selected by audition) from around SoCal, so performing multiple days would be somewhat unrealistic and definitely difficult to manage.
Julian Salcido I was in the choir, she did. There was around seven people at that show that fell ill on stage. It was really hot up there and your shoulder to shoulder with people for close to an hour. From what I heard, everyone was ok. Behind the scenes, there is a huge crew of medics because they know this is a huge problem.

I used to be a choir director and standing for a hour long with lights on you can be difficult and unfortunately was common for this to happen. ...... singers would forget not to lock their knees. You all did an amazing job!!! This was a beautiful performance!!
