In German we usually call these cats Manul, and my husband and I decided that these are the cutest animals in the world. One day my husband told me that he has seen pictures of an animal that is even cuter than a Manul and told me to look up the Pallas cat. 😹 There is no better proof of one's cuteness than when people say that they have found someone cuter than you, and then it turns out to be you.
This is another good reason, why we humans should protect wildlife. Not only they bring beauty and balance in the world. We humans can learn a lot from others species.
Just found this video. I admire these fluff balls. These cats in the wild endure so much. This sanctuary is probably heaven to them. Their kill rate is the highest of any wild cats big or small. I believe it’s 98.9% kill rate this is why they have to be fed with tongs so they don’t associate hands with food. Thank you for being one of the very few people who have put up videos on these beautiful creatures

Call an ambulance at the address where you are (do not forget that the ambulance may be delayed, so the call must be made in advance). 2. Stretch the tourniquet over the right arm above the elbow. 3. Inject a pain reliever (it will take a few minutes for it to work). 4. SWEAT THE CAT'S PALLAS. 5. Distract the cat's pallas from your hand with meat. 6. Pick up your hand and place it in the refrigerator. 7. Wait for the ambulance. (Google translator, sorry)
By the time the Pellas Cat diverged from the other felids on the family tree, it already had every small feline mannerism you can think of. And this clip proves it.
There's even a Russian memetic phrase "The Pallas cat looks at you discontentedly and angrily, but simultaneously somewhat sad and even with some bewilderment"
@christinelucas If you look at fact sheets on them, it would seem their legs actually only LOOK stumpy - from what I've read they have the longest fur of ANY cat, so it's all fluff covering up everything.

Interesting how different their behavior differs from Felix domestic kittens. The stay low. No jumping, crazy runnings, and overall slow movements.
