Me too. You can feel his pain and/or passion in his voice. The lyrics mean something to him. Towards the end of the song you can hear him silently crying, well it sounds like he's crying.

@@pandagac3678 this is a stupid question but have you heard the song daddy by KORN? Of course you have. Vocalists that are emotional and unafraid to share their pain or loss with whoever is listening are extremely rare these days. Jonathan Davis released all of his anger, sadness, insecurities, fears, shame, pain so freely and openly in Korn's 1st two albums. I had never heard anything like that. I still get chills when I listen to Daddy & kill you. I just discovered Sleep Token 2 weeks ago. I was bored and lost in youtube land and I saw the picture of the video for alkaline and I thought, here we go again with another masked extreme metal band that are a dime a dozen these days. I clicked it anyway. When I first heard Vessels voice I was locked in immediately. My jaw dropped and I was hyper focused on this band I've never heard of. I was not ready for that song to end so when it did I was onto BLOOD SPORT, JAWS, THE OFFERING, SUGAR, GODS etc. And I haven't stopped. Hell, I was driving home one day listening to BLOOD SPORT and it got me. My eyes teared up and tears started streaming down my face. At first I was like what is happening then I realized what was happening, SLEEP TOKEN got me. I'm so happy I decided to select the alkaline video 2 weeks ago.
I have a bad habit of rambling when I'm leaving a comment or messaging folks, so I apologize for this being so long. It's the writer in me that encourages me to blah blah blah blah blah blah blah. Then I realize that I haven't said anything I meant to say but I still share it or post it because I made it this far might as well end it.
I hope I get to see them live!!! I've been watching live footage of them. Is there any pro shot live footage of them? Like professionally filmed footage.

Honestly I like this version more. The room below version is still good. But the other instrumentals in this one and how intense it gets just really hits for me. I feel like with From the room below there is just something missing and I just want more from it that I know I'm not going to get. With this version I really feel like it's completed. I got emotionally attached. Vessel breaking down in this one takes my heart too. I guess the live version is slower and less industrialized. If I can use that word without sounding condescending. I adore his band and Vessel. I'm a Christian and pray for that cat often. Hope he finds the happiest of happiness.
