  • This geared locomotive is made in Germany and is wonderful. It is not based on any specific prototype but would be a typical backwoods industrial railroad engine meant to pull weight up grades and around right curves. It appears to be about 16 mm to the foot scale.
A great benefit is that this engine’s drive wheels are gauge-adjustable. I can run it on my Garden Planter Railway, which has 32 mm gauge track and on my indoor small switching layout, which uses 45 mm gauge (G scale) track.
I ordered the loco from Graham Austin in the UK. The service was great. His store is here:
    www.gardenrail...
In this video I pull my USA Trains billboard reefers, a couple of Accucraft cars and my re-worked Aristo-Craft caboose. I had intended to gauge it for 32 mm and run it outdoors pulling Mamod equipment. Alas, but for the mother bird and her eggs…
After my Mamod Brunel this is my second geared loco.
In this video you will see that most of the military vehicles in the background are excellent brick models made in Poland by Cobi. Cobi bricks are Lego-compatible.
This video also proves again that you don’t need tons and tons of space to enjoy live steam.
    Happy live steaming!
    Terry

What a super video, I was smiling the whole way through as well. Once you get it run in, maybe 10 hours of so , with will really show its strength! My Roundhouse Katie will pull around 30 lbs of granite and not break sweat. Awesome!

I think is will also be able to get some slowwww running when it is run in too. It’s a super cool engine. I really love the lubricator.

A very nice engine & review Terry, very entertaining, as all your videos are 😊
All of my live steam locos are Regner, love the quirkiness about them, not to mention the build quality. They are a pleasure to own & run.
I’m about to start building the Paul No. 102 tram from a kit they released a couple of years ago. Plus, have the new unreleased Guinness loco on order with them.

I do love my Limberjack, especially now it is run in. I have also classed the boiler and lagged the steam lines. Mine also now has a whistle. I am just recently working out how to add RC.

I have a 1 year old Lumberjack and a 6 month old Vincent. Really nice locos! However I struggle removing water from the Vincents boiler with the preasure bottle. Apparently you have to squeez it. It doesnt work for me

Marcel, I am curious about the Vincent. But I have saved for a different loco. I am not sure how one would remove water from the boiler with the spray bottle. Seems odd.

@@Terrys-Steam-and-Cobi Its a really neat little engine. It runs extremly smooth. However I have to contact Regner for that. Maybe I'm just not smart enough 😅 What loco have you saved up for?

@@Justme0495 the next Accucraft Shay. More money than I would normally consider, but by far the Shay type is my all time favourite. I’ve even sold a few old things that have been hanging around now for no reason.

@@Terrys-Steam-and-Cobi Wow thats a really nice loco! Very complex, too! I have been looking at it, but the price held me back. I bought an Accucraft Allchin 3/4 inch, which was painfully expensive, but worth all the money! My best and by far most expensive engine yet. Its just a joy watching it ticking away very slowly :)
