it was my first car! it is a really cool car. a lot of features in it, like climate control, are finally in new cars. as long as you put a stereo, aftermarket lights and seats, this car really doesn't age.
Very nice vehicle. Have owned several. My first one being a special order red/gray while I was stationed in Europe. I am about to own another one. Love to travel with the top down and enjoy the road.
this car is a track machine.....and yes it was very ahead of its time.....its looks are unique.....it never ages.....got 7'' dvd player, gps 5.3''.....surround system and so many more in it.....couldn't ask for a better car.....the e36 m3 cabrio is the real deal.....but i guess all e36's and bimmers generally are.....
My '98 started having too many problems, so I finally sold it and bought a 2015 328i coupe. I'm missing the ;98 big-time. (Mine was black on black and still looked great.) Just came here to reminisce...
The convertible top tensioners look like they are failing. Since they showed it closing and not opening (would be more prominent if opening the top). Also the tonneau cover shouldn't hit the frame bar. I own the same 97 model and know these cars.
