  • Hello all! Here is a video about how I landed on my first UX contract post-general assembly from a non-UX background.
I applied for a lot of jobs and received tons of rejection letters and messages. If you are going through the same thing, I want to let you know that You Are Not Alone. That is also why I thought about making this video to share some key takeaways and what I wish I knew before my interviews.
Good Luck, Everyone! You Got this! 😊

Is UX design still a good career to pursue?

Would I be rude to ask how much they are paying you since it is your first job after General assembly? im looking to also do a full time ux design immersive course. Just curious because it would be entry level right?

I had 3 years of design experience prior to pivoting into UX, which helps me to carried over a lot of skill sets. Contract job usually pays in hourly rate, back then if calculated in year unit would be close to 6 figure.
