I had a terrible time with this game back in the day. My version started at the chess-floor puzzle, which I was terrible at. Rarely got through to the second level, and not enough times to learn the pattern.
Same, but I remember I sussed out the chess puzzle straight away, my problem was with the rapids... for ages I couldn't figure out that you had to just simply press forward to go through the middle rapid instead of pressing right as you were slightly to the left of it... then got totally stuck on the giant ball corridor level. I had the cpc 6128 disc drive Amstrad and I couldn't find this game on disc anywhere I could only find it on cassette tape which was solely available on the cpc 464 so I had to go round to my neighbours house to play it (as they had one)... however if you kept losing in the end the game would say to rewind the tape to a certain point to continue and whenever that happened the game would crash, so we got fed up and switched it off. LOL
I am so glad you wrote that! I was wondering if I mixed up different games, but I definitely had the first part with the boat and "ye olde boulder", and then the chesspuzzle which I NEVER solved back then. So there were different versions of that game even on CPC ... why the heck?!
I almost cried when I saw this... so many good childhood memories all at once!!!
The music is SUPERB
Best CPC Soundtrack. Thx for Upload
Music is by legendary Rob Hubbard.
