I disagree to some extent. The movie also attempts to prompt us to reevaluate our emotions. Are we absolutely certain that our emotions are genuine? What even defines an emotion? It's one of the most profound questions we will ever contemplate. Our emotions serve as our windows to the world; they are what differentiates us from mere sensory information processing machines. I love how unique this movie is. Most of the time at the end of the movie you can look back and see what the main character changed and how he saved the world, but with this, at the and when you look back all you see is that K wasn’t special, he didn’t save the world, and when the credits roll everything is essentially the same as when the movie started
While it's true that K isn't special in the way the movie initially leads you to believe (being the first replicant to be born), I disagree that K isn't special and that everything is essentially the same at the end. In the scene with the giant pink and blue Joy ad, we see that Joy refers to all (potential) customers as Joe and that the 'special' name K was given for being a 'special boy' was just an illusion, K is not special by means of his creation. It is in this same scene that K makes the choice to save Deckard, in turn preventing Wallace from torturing the information he needs out of Deckard, in turn preventing the future enslavement of an entirely new race of birthed replicants at the hand of Wallace. Though it's likely that no one will ever even know what he did, that he is the savior of a race of people that don't even exist, that he reunited a father and long lost daughter; he leaves the world a better place than he came into it through choices he made. It is not through the means of his creation that K is special, it is through the choices he makes that he becomes special. Blade Runner shows us that we are all the same because we are different. Blade Runner 2049 shows us that we are defined by our choices, not the conditions of our birth.
That's really not very unique. It is just the story of the postmodern hero. Whereas the classic hero is the manifestation of the collective's will choosen to save the world, the postmodern hero, however, is a more or less isolated individual not special in any particular way struggling for his own survival or meaning, his story usually leaving him where he started, sometimes worse, rarely better. You find amazing stories that seem to be on the cusp of explaining what's been bothering you the entire time, but the ending never quite hits the spot, you listen to speeches that rouse you, maybe even motivate you for a couple of weeks or months if your lucky, but you slowly receed back into this feeling, this feeling that things will never be quite right, that you never really found what you were looking for out of life, and that dissastisfaction becomes harder and harder to share with others, you're just bothering them again, what's the point in sharing the same thing for the 30th time, especially when it seems so similar to all the cliches...Until it overwhelms you with a sense of isolation, and it becomes so loud and frightening that you can't bear it any longer, you're so alone in it all, maybe you should just end it all... We have to be like clay, or like water. Be able to flow, to adapt, to modify ourself, but still remain who we are at our core. In this fast-paced and everchanging world, it is difficult to understand what is our identity. We often rely on objects or superficial characteristics, but in the end, almost everything can change and we have to know what will forever be part of us, what is our true identity. I believe that even the core of ourselves can flow in some direction and be bettered; it is important, though, to always keep an eye of the direction we are going. Because only through change there is growth.

@@minecraftpro110 In the realm of cinema, I wholeheartedly concur; it is an impeccably crafted masterpiece. Yet, this sentiment extends beyond the screen, permeating the world of literature, where countless treasures remain untouched by those who dismiss the written word as tedious. It pains the soul to witness the deliberate ignorance and the shuttering of minds to the embrace of new ideas. The heartbreak intensifies as individuals forego the breathtaking wonders woven into the fabric of existence, simply because they avert their gaze. Our discourse could meander through these reflections, a contemplation that has occupied my mind to the extent of waning faith in the collective wisdom of the masses and the efficacy of direct democracy. There exists, it seems, a select few who harbor the sacred curiosity and a profound appreciation for the tapestry of life-an essence I regard as the quintessence of our purpose. This perspective is, of course, subjective, and in conclusion, I advocate the pursuit of kindred spirits. Encircle yourself with those who share your profound love for life, and let the ruminations on those who avert their gaze be but a fleeting echo in the symphony of your own existence.

Step by step, day by day, progress is made. and looking back things did get better. Stay strong king Don’t let anyone bring ya down💪

ofcourse she can't. Only we are truely able to "fix" ourselves. We just need to believe in ourselves truely no matter what
but then again i dont think one actually "fixes" himSELF, but destroys the self and rises from its ashes, thus there would be no schackles holding him behind.
We need to believe in God more, not ourselves. We could never make it on our own and we never will
Stand up be strong
Know right from wrong
Forever hence
Believe Yourself
We have to be like clay, or like water. Be able to flow, to adapt, to modify ourself, but still remain who we are at our core. In this fast-paced and everchanging world, it is difficult to understand what is our identity. We often rely on objects or superficial characteristics, but in the end, almost everything can change and we have to know what will forever be part of us, what is our true identity. I believe that even the core of ourselves can flow in some direction and be bettered; it is important, though, to always keep an eye of the direction we are going. Because only through change there is growth.

One of the few movies that keeps you coming back although it only fills the emptiness inside you.

It's such a sad movie. I still can't get over the bittersweet ending. It's both heartwarming yet lonely and sorrowful

That’s how i feel sometimes. Days go past so fast, you don’t know what to do. You are bored, you just want to delete everything and go live in the forest, in wooden house with a dog without civilization. Only thing that i want to do is turn on phonk and workout.
Fun fact: You do a better job at engaging your audience when the focus of the frame doesn't move i.e. it's always in the centre of the frame. They do the same thing in the intro montage in Up which is basically my way of justifying myself crying every time I watch Up
I will adopt this justification everytime I foolishly click into another Up edit on yt. Thanks

I'll always remember being in the train and overhearing the girl behind me talk about how they went to the movies to see this one and advised her friend NOT to go cause it was really boring :/
Well, it's certainly not like Leonardo freezing to death in the Atlantic Ocean for no reason when he could have easily shared that floating piece of debris or even easily pushed that harlot off it. Additionally, the artificial night sky in the movie doesn't align with their location or any location, which was particularly frustrating.
People have diverse tastes and intellectual abilities. Some enjoy reading books and pondering the intricacies of the universe, while others prefer entertainment from figures like Kevin Hart and Dwayne Johnson. We are all unique with varying interests and hobbies, for better or worse.
@@skhotzim_bacon I agree with you, but there is a difference between getting the point of a movie and than not liking it, and not getting the point at all and disliking the movie because of that. Cant blame the girl in my comment, just wish she and others like her got the message so they could see why people like it
@@minecraftpro110 In the realm of cinema, I wholeheartedly concur; it is an impeccably crafted masterpiece.
The movie is a good representation of living a life as who you not are, and even acknowledging your true self, you aren't the same anymore and well, quite possibly won't be.

This movie played me like a fiddle. I also love how they trick you into thinking a certain thing and use it as an important plot point.
everyone gets depressed sometimes, and that ok! what’s not ok is to not do anything about it. the key is to stay strong and not let it get to you. things won’t change overnight, it takes time to get happier. people expect to get better instantly, but that’s not how it works. Step by step, day by day, progress is made. and looking back things did get better.
Stay strong king
Don’t let anyone bring ya down💪
The start is always worst and hardest, everyday you see happy people people who acomplished something in life and maybe it was just a luck but most of the time its hard work and at first we dont understand this but if you try to look at everything as someones work then you will see that its worth this hard start
I fight the depression by doing absolutely nothing about it. How are things somehow worse now??
