Where is exemption up to 12 Lakh as per this table?
Rabate for income up to 12lakh
If your income is 12 lakhs , then you do t have to pay.
If it is 13 lkh, then for 0-4 lkh no tax,
In the pending 9 lakhs, from 4-8, 5%
In the pending 1 lkh 10%
9000+40000=49k tax.

2,50,000 അല്ല 12,00,000 ആക്കിയതി എന്ന കാര്യം ആർക്കും മനസ്സിലാകാത്തതാണൊ
12L is just rebate. Not tax free slab.
Just understand.
The finest thing is the below calculation:
If your salary is 12,75,000, tax = 0.
So take home salary is 12.75 L.
If your salary is 12,75,001, tax = 60,000
Then take home salary is 12.15 L.
What crap is this?
And guess what. This is without any tax savings options.
This lady had been screwing us in the name of tax. And is still continuing. But just slightly lowered.
Basically the strategy being used here is simple. First they screw us to the max so that we forget what is the normal. Then they give a little relief, which we will feel like heven.
This lady is brilliant with mind games.
Let's look at the tax free slab from 2004 to 2025.
In 2004 - ₹50,000
In 2014 - ₹2,50,000
In 2025 - ₹4,00,000 (without tax saving option)
Technically this slab should have become 10 to 15 L by now. But these people are fooling us with the tax rebate option mistaken to be taken as tax free slab.
