Not sure if you guys gives a damn but if you're bored like me during the covid times then you can watch all of the new movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my girlfriend for the last couple of months =)
I went to another 2d animation tutorial and the guy just started throwing around shortcuts without even saying what keys he was entering ( keep in mind this was a beginner just like this one ), I have to say this one is a breath of fresh air! Thank you so much for making a tutorial where you explain what you are doing and walk people through, I'm nowhere near finished, and this is LITERALLY my first time actually fiddling with Blender so I just wanted to say you've earned a like and a great deal of appreciation from me.
Thanks for that! I just completed this tutorial with Blender 3.6.0. A few of the interface items had moved around in minor ways, but I was still able to complete it without difficulties. Very clearly explained!
From Blender 2.93 on the interplalate is now a tool. All you have to do is to be at the frame you want to create, say, 7, select the interpolate tool, click and move your mouse from left to right until you find the correct position you wish for that frame
I missed something @20:50 . When I click left to go to the previous frame, the shadow doesn't come along. It just disappears. I copied it manually to the previous frame but I'd still like to know how did your shadow copy over to the previous frame just by clicking left? TKS!
When interpolating you can change the type from ‚Linear‘ to e.g. ‚Cubic‘ (depending on the strength you want the effect to have). Then to get the exact effect he did in the vid choose ‚Ease In‘. With this you won‘t need to arrange the single frames manually.
That's cool I made it so well! I'm currently intereted about the grease pencil and 2D animation that Blender can offer. Simple tuto like this help to get in to it. Thank you!
U did really great job...it was really helpful...Thank You I need one favor .. followed every step as u told, everything was fine at the end after rendering that shadow was not shown in the rendered video... Pls help with That cg cookie
Hello CG I am working in blender 2.9. I hit S X 1 then enter but it the key frames did not flip. Why did you arrow back and forth when you made the ball drop?
Fantastic tutorial, many thanks. Quick question though, when I render the animation and play the resultant file I can't seem to get the shadow. It's working fine in the view port. Any help very much appreciated.
Oh, looks like you found a possible bug. For the time being you can render the viewport animation from View > Viewport Render Animation. (while in draw mode for best results) That will get you out of a pickle, but I'll have to experiment and then report the bug.
Thanks for this video. Working my way through, but cannot make the cutter work. It will cut any part of the ball except the bits hanging over. Frustrating.
Thanks for this tutorial! The Grease Pencil has intrigued me for gamedev specifically for a while (and seems to be getting even better in 2.83!) but Blender was intimidating. Following along this tutorial was the perfect way to get my feet wet :) can't wait to continue to learn to do bigger and more complex things!
i knew Blender had 2d and grease pencil since 2.78 days but never knew how to access it. :D fun tutorial

@Lennox Zayn yup, been using Instaflixxer for years myself =)
really thanks

Merci pour cette démonstration. Philippe P.
BTW, at 13:27 you can change "Type" from linear to quadratic and it will place the frames in the right positions
Yer a gosh dang legend

You helped me a lot through my years of animation
Squash and stretch is so important to getting that fluid bouncey feel. Nice tutorial!
nice tutorial! I learned more from this one that eight hours worth of various others I watched yesterday
This is the video that helped me start Blender! I watched others and was lost. Thanks! I was about to give up.
I finished this yesterday it was awesome. Thank you.
Thanks - fantastic intro to 2D animation in Blender.
thank you so much. it's good for me and very good your open subtitle mode.
Are you planning on making a full 2D animation course?
Not a full 2D animation course. Well, not at this stage anyway.
Thank you, very well done! 👍✌
Excellent. Many Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Thanks for the Tutorial. Very helpful for me coming in blind to animation.

That rules, so glad you found this helpful. Rock on!
Thank you finally a good video, this video needs more love
Very clear explanation. How did you make the animation loop at the start and end of the video?
Why can’t i move the ball from the 1st to 8th frame, it loses its color
Thanks for this video! very easy to understand, i made my own bouncing ball and it was very fun to do
U did really great job...it was really helpful...Thank You
I need one favor .. followed every step as u told, everything was fine at the end after rendering that shadow was not shown in the rendered video... Pls help with That cg cookie
Thank you very much, that looked fun indeed.
Thank you!! Very interesting and useful.
How are you filling each part of the ball with separate fill colours? No matter what I do, the fill tool just fills in the whole ball?
never mind...seems to work now I've opened a new project....
Fantastic tutorial. Nice work.
That helped, i manage to do it, thank you
Great video 👍😁
Great vid!
When in edit mode, I don't get zn interpolate menu. What are the conditions that must be met?

@@waynedixon7280 Thank you
Why does everyone get the frames before the bounce wrong?
The ball should remain round until it flattens.
Nice!

Strangely there's no onion skinning appearing for me, and I followed the settings you mentioned
✌️
