Saga prefecture was the best part of my Japan trip back in 2019! Unfortunately, I didnt get the chance to try the Saga ramen (I filled up on Hakata Ramen and Nagasaki Champon) but I will definitely correct that when I visit next year.

Very nice. Saga and Nagasaki are mapped out for a visit in December 2024. I had never seen the kanji for tonkotsu @4:05 (豚骨) so now I know it is literally pork bone ramen.

That's awesome! Nagasaki is a fantastic place to visit too...beautiful scenery as well. Make sure to try some Champon down there. When you see those kanji (豚骨)...you know you're at the right place 😃

Love dropping raw egg into piping hot ramen. The hot broth poaches the egg a bit. The second bowl appealed to me the most though I'm not really a huge fan of broth that's purely pork-based. That Saga beef is a winner!

I mostly know of Saga prefecture from Zombieland Saga, and it looks like a really nice place! Always love seeing the rural and underrated side of places like this that don't get much love from gaijin tourists. The person who helped you drive your way back to your hotel is also really sweet!
Also as a lover of eggs myself, all the ramens looks really delicious!

A fun introduction to Saga (Zombieland Saga)! Def nice to visit places that aren't overly crowded. Hope to highlight more of these rural hidden gems in videos! Yes, very sweet of the person to drive me back and you'd love these bowls as an egg lover!
