General ute tidy up and mounting a Thumper air compressor!

- Well my old Holden Rodeo has just turned 20, so I thought it was time to give her a bit of an upgrade. The plan is to complete a number of upgrades to the ute to make her camping ready including water tank, new canopy and an improved 12v system. My plan is to keep it cost effective while also trying to keep the extra weight to a minimum. I was looking at buying a new ute but have decided to hold onto the Rodeo. The plan is to trying and complete upgrades that could be switched over to a new vehicle down the track.
Part 1 includes a general tidy up to the old girl and also hard mounting my Thumper air compressor into one of the under tray boxes. If you have any feedback let me know!
If anyone has any recommended upgrades (apart from buying a new ute, yes I know its a old petrol 1 tonne Rodeo) I would love to hear from you.

Awesome stuff man i just had a tray put on my 2015 np300 navara and mounted twin thumper air compressor in left under tray box best mod 😃 put the rubber feet on the bottom dampense the vibration on the toolbox as well

Cheers pick up a 1200mm canopy today. Going To paint it black with bully liner, hopefully comes up alright.

Pretty sure 50A fuse and will need to check what size wiring. Its pretty thick.
Hey mate, with mounting the compressor in that spot, were you worried at all about water getting in there? I have under tray boxes that don't seal very well so i'm a bit worried about water getting in and killing my compressor
Yea I am a bit worried but have sealed it as well as I can. Haven't been through any deep creek crossings yet, time will tell on how it holds up 🤙🤙

After this time are you happy with 1200 mm canopy. I looking at the new dmax sx.
Your air compressor. Look on ebay for remote and get a heavy relay from Jaycar. Switch on off. I got the indiflate. Good kit

Did you find your water tank. Leyland brothers use white down water pipe that used on a house. Just use bends, tees and glue together.
