- Building more accessories for the MFT Style assembly table. This time I show clamping of larger panels on the side, and also cam clamping on the top of the bench. Both square pieces and odd shaped pieces. Clamping with modified F clamps through the holes is also shown.

Love the bench dog, spacer, and cam clamping system! Great ideas as always!
+Jeremy Schmidt Thanks Jeremy, glad you liked it, and thanks for the kind words
Very good ideas!
+FastEasySmartTOOL Thanks Kriss
Great ideas Roy. Think I may drill some holes in my workbench soon and will definitely use some of these ideas!
+Tyler G Thanks Ty, My first bench with dogholes....wish I had built this table a long time ago, have already used it a lot
You just answered my question about festool clamps on the table.
Ugh. Cnc and melamine. I cringed so much I couldn't watch it.
+عاشت إيدك ياستاد 👍عمل جيد وممتاز 👍👍👍
That is one brilliant workbench! I'll start making one soon! Thanx for sharing! Regards from Andebu, Vestfold. ;)
+Roy Ivar Hernes Thank you Roy, I should have made this years ago. Greetings from Sørlandet:)
Not just a pretty face! You've done it again Roy. Always a pleasure watching your videos. Now to the serious stuff. I really like the bench dogs over the clamps. They allow much better access. So what happens to dust and shavings that fall through the holes? Of course you understand that I will be shamelessly stealing all of your ideas Roy. 😉. Cheers
+David Handley Thank you David for the kind feedback. I have actually not given it very much thought, but some compressed air and a dust collector, should be able to get rid of most of it. You are more that welcome to use anything you fin interesting:)
I like it. You don't need thinner cams, shorter dogs, or spacers, just keep two 1/4" thick strips of wood to bring the thinner work piece up to clear the cans and dogs. That way you won't need all those extra parts, just two 1/4" spacers.
You are using your coconut, I like the ideas.
Never thought of that, and that is a genius idea. Thanks for sharing!
Wow these are awesome ideas! Just wish you had a warning to look away before you took those clamps apart haha. Great job!
+The Russian Woodworker Thanks for watching and commenting
That first accessory is amazing! I must have missed it, but what did you do for the locking mechanism on the two brackets? When you put them in the hole, you give it a second, firmer little push, which seems to lock them in..
Tell please, these 20mm cylinders get inside to inner hole of lower board or... where they stop?
+mirock's woodshop They go all the way through, and since the top of the stand underneath is a solid sheet, it stops at the right height. Only the holes on the edges go all the way through
Those locking cams look very interesting. I already cheap out with dowels as bench dogs, but metal hold downs and clamps are quite dear for those without Festool budgets.
+jonowee Glad you like then. thanks for watching and commenting
Now this is going to sound like an inappropriate question, but I don't mean it to be. Where did you buy your pants that you are weareing in this video? I would lkove to buy my brothers each a pair. Thank you .
They are made by Snickers. I think is is a Swedish company, I am not sure where you are located, but if it is in Europe, I think you should be able to find them. You can try www.snickersworkwear.com. If you are living over seas (US) you still might be able to find them there as well. The model number is 3213
Love the brackets you made for the front, excellent idea.
Thanks TOny
Awesome addition to my +Ron Paulk workbench. Thanks!
+Geoff Else Glad you found it usefull Goeff
Love the idea with locking clamps and 4 size blocks !!! would be awesome to have pdf with template for them
Thank you Peter.

square spacer especially cool. there could be more sizes with more holes. great idea.
+mirock's woodshop This far It has served all the sizes I have used, but as you say a few more spaces with different sizes, one should be all covered. thanks for watching and commenting
I think ALL of these are great "take-away-and-do-them" ideas. Thanks for sharing!
+Jeremy McMahan Glad you like it, Thanks for watching
ännu en bra video. älskar ditt sätt att hitta lösningar :-D. KANON!!!!
+Matias Leksell Takkar Matias. Bra du henger med:)

The cam levers and bench dogs are great, simple yet genius.
+ishortland Thank you, and thanks for watching and commenting
Great addition to your bench, really nice solutions.
+Tommy Fisher Thanks Tommy, should have built it a long time ago
I really something like this, only problem for me is that space is an issue so I need to design something a little more portable. Superb work on yours though, not only very useful but so many options for clamping.
+caskwith Thank you. I did think about a foldable version as well, as I as well have some space limitations, but figured it would be used everytime I´m in the shop, so I went for a permanent sollution with wheels
+Bellevue Woodshop Is there a PDF for the cams available?
These are some great ideas!! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, glad you found it useful
do you have downloadable template for the cams, please?

And I just finished watching the rest of the video.. This has got to be the best workbench I've ever seen.. Definitely the one I'm most jealous of. Those clamping options are amazing
+denno021 Thanks for the kind feedback. glad you found it useful, and thanks for watching
Hi, how Your benchdogs receive support. Your table is double sided and 20 mm holes are symetry axis ? Or not ?
The holes line up on both faces, and the plywood top of the cart underneath prevent them from falling through. They are then supported on top and bottom, and are extremely ridgid
Thank You for replay, I did not notice that there is a plywood. Maybe I left comp for a that moment. ;)
i like the ideas good and simple can be made by almost anyone and a great addition to your work bench
+Tom Palmer Thanks Tom, yes, Its an easy task, with lots of clamping options
Clever table! I'll share this one with a woodworker i know!
+Henning Andersen Thanks Henning. Should have made it a long time ago
I agree, the cams and dogs work GREAT for most all the clamping needs and I REALLY like your side clamps/holders.
Very well done!!
+Sebastopolmark Thank you for the kind feedback, and for watching

That's is one awesome work table, Roy. Practical ideas are the best. Looking forward to part 3, where I'm guessing the table is getting its own AI, and starts to take over the world.
Cheers fra Trøndelag!
+Freddy Jay Thanks Freddy. It seems to be a good investment in time. I should have done this years ago. Part 3 is ready for you to watch. Yup....One day Ill walk into the shop overhearing its plan to take over the world. But as long as it does not touch my tools I am OK
You are a great master! You looks Ukraine
+Alexander Nikolaenko Thanks for the kind feedback Alexander, glad you liked it

+MakeFix Simple and stable work surface. I wish I had done it years ago
Could you please confirm the size of the holes in the bench? Excellent Tutorial ! Thank You, Dirk
They are spaced 96mm apart like the original mft. Holes are 20mm diameter
eeeek I haven't used a plane since Jr. high lol
+Carl Zorro Me either, it was mostly a prop, as you can see, no shavings:)
I used to work behind (shift) a fellow who liked to tighten things UP the way you do. !@

+Bellevue Woodshop thanks so much. Looking forward to using them.
Great bench and even better accessories !
+The Pallet Hippie Thank you for the kind words, and for watching
What stops the dogs from falling thru ?
If the top and bottom are the same......
The carcass has a plywood top that stops the dogs from falling through. The holes on the overhang thou are throu holes, and will make the dog fall on the floor.
Cheers
Your videos are so well done. I learn something new with every one of them, usually something I want to make for my shop tomorrow.
Thank you.
Thanks for the kind feedback Mike
Those devices are absolutely brilliant!! Thanks for sharing : )
+Green Kitty Thank you for watching
where did you get the 20mm steel rods?
+Cole Larson Its a salvaged hardened rod for an old german saw that the saw carriage ran on. Thats why some of the dogs have threaded holes in them
simple elegant design brilliant
+Andrew Leith Thanks Andre, simple and fast, and cheap to make
It is not bench it is system already
+mirock's woodshop Thans Miroc. It turning out to be a great addition to my shop. Just wish I had done it a long time ago
Super cool good job!!!
+krisicreativa Thank you
Thank you for your ideas. What is the diameter and the distance of the holes on the bench?
+Carlos Magno Magalhães Thank you for watching and commenting Carlos. I made it the same as the original MFT from Festool. 20mm holes spaced 96mm apart. But it really does not matter
+Bellevue Woodshop , Thanks for the feedback. Your creativity is infinitely blessed.
IN YER FACE, FESTOOL!
