Nice format! :) Sounds like I have to give Resolve 19 a spin -- I use VST plugins a lot and frequently switching between the Edit tab and Fairlight tab is cumbersome. Also I tend to get myself a bit "lost" on the timeline in Fairlight :) If I can do more sound stuff from the edit tab then that would be fantastic.
Not sure if you can use the VST's in the timeline, but my experience is that you will have to use them way less. The new audio features (both track and clip level) are amazing. Once you have it dialed in, you can save it as a preset so that next time you import audio, all the work is done. Takes just a few clicks to get it sounding great!
Same page with you on Adobe, the only reason why I cannot get rid of them is because some very fringe plugin for AE and PSD definitely be essential for what I do. Already switched to Davinci for everything else, would miss Audition a bit but there are so many DAW out there, even Fairlight.
It's frustrating for sure that there are not many alternatives to Adobe out there. I just wish there was a way to disable the nanny state control they currently have.
I've been editing on FCP forever, I mostly just do simple editing so it works great for that(plus I'm a Mac guy). I've been thinking about adding Davinci resolve to iPad though to give it a spin. Would add FCP on iPad but I'm not paying for a subscription. Also these cameras specs are getting too video heavy for the average user, but I'm guessing it's really the only room left to innovate.
I would definitely give Davinci Resolve a shot. Being able to use the speed editor saves a TON of time! I can scrub through all my footage quickly and not have to worry about remembering a bunch of keyboard shortcuts to put it all together.
I haven't watched the video yet, but I'm extremely jealous of your mic!
Good video and mic sounds great!
Yay, thank you! It's the Lauten Audio LS-208. I should probably do a video about it since I've had it for about 6 months now.
@@RandumbTech Yes Please do a video. Thanks.
