That is View Talay 2B - I lived there, on the top floor for one year. You have a 'decent' (For Thailand) studio unit Kitchen with a good amount of counter space but it is NOT a 'complete' kitchen. There is no oven, (I like to make baked potatoes, cookies casseroles, etc. - which can only be made with a proper oven.) most kitchens do NOT have hot water from the tap and Thai's have no concept of what a 'garbage disposal' below the drain in the kitchen sink is. Your refrigerator needs to be replaced with one that has the freezer on the bottom and the refrigerator part on top (Makes your life MUCH easier than bending over all the time to get into a refrigerator built for dwarfs or short Thai people.). Postage stamp size balcony has limited outdoor space. Good amenities on the ground floor and magnificent swimming pool - the restaurant by the pool is a major bonus. Ten thousand baht a month is a good price for what you get. I used to pay 12,000 baht a month for my studio and I moved after one year (Relocated in 2012) because I got a MUCH better deal - closer to the beach and have paid 8,000 baht a month for a BETTER view, walking distance to the sand with a larger balcony (Or 1/3 less money per month.) ever since then.
@@sanderscupac7278 I've been living on the ocean side of Thepphraya on Pratamnak Hill since May of 2012. I found an older (Built in the late 1980's) building but my particular condo was remodeled two years ago. The land lord lowered my rent last August when I signed a new '1-year' lease for my 'ocean view - walking distance to the beach' unit - from 10,000 baht a month to 9,000 baht a month. This month my electric bill is only 1,200 baht (I have not had to run the air con full time when I am home because we had such nice weather.). Currently; Pattaya is WAY overbuilt with somewhere in the vicinity of 15,000 vacant condos on the market. Deals ARE available!
@john smith Soi 6 Pratamnak - on Pratamnak Hill. Closer to the ocean - QUIET neighborhood. Bad part; Not directly on a baht bus route - must walk up the hill to catch baht buses on Thepphraya to go into Pattaya or Jomtien Beach. I have my own motorbike though - so, I only use the baht bus or taxi if I am going out to drink beer.
don't need or want a laundry machine in the unit. That is just one more thing that can break. So easy to just bag up the laundry once a week and take it down the street to any of the local laundry shops. 100 or 150 baht and things come back washed, dried, folded. And the girls tend to be friendly to talk with
Buying a condo or a house is a big problem to foreigners. The never can own land. Foreigners pay 30-40% more for a condo than Thai people. That is why the resale is very difficult. Better rent and you are free in your choices.
Super condominium View Talay 2B massive pool, maintenance excellent.
Thank you, greatinfo.
Good choice I think. I visited it and it seems to be easy life condo. And I like the shops at first floor.

No need to go down the street. View Talay 2B has several laundry places on the lobby floor that will do your laundry for you!!! Good prices too.
Very nice pad, can't wait for part 2.
will come, but please be patient
I'll be in town next month looking at new condo's.
Thanks for sharing
Nice. I'm thinking of buying a condo myself. A beach side condo in Pattaya about $200,000 is equivalent in Sydney to about $3million.

Buy property in your home country and use the rent income to rent something in Thailand..only “safe” way
