Honestly I want more accessibility like this, in general. A lot of people forget that at the end of the day, this is just a game. If you want to lock mythic mog, sure go nuts. But, having LFR or even Normal available later through other activities imo is a good thing because the less hardcore crowd aren't left behind. Or, they don't feel like it.
Because, being 100% real the "hardcore" players are going to be wearing Mythic and only Mythic at the end of the day.
Agreed! Even if I had to do some little solo challenge or some big meta achieve to unlock a cosmetic version of the raid gear, I'd totally be down. For me, I just want the appearance, but having access to the actual gear, even if it's behind a currency grind, is great too. It could help out those who are raiding with bad luck protection as well (back when I raided MoP-Legion, my drop luck was baaad. Even with Master Loot, my pieces wouldn't drop so I was always behind....as the main tank)!

The gear from Zereth Mortis World Boss can be also transformed. You could and should transform your helmet and chest piece. It will also transfer the socket in your helmet to the new set piece.
Cloaks, wrists, belts and boots can be also transform to raid counterparts for transmog purpose. Jewelry and weapons can not.
100% this, that helm with the socket is juicy
Something new in season 4 is that shadowlands mythic zero 262 dungeon gear now converts to the Mythic Sepulcher raid tier transmog with the Catalyst.

Just a little info for anyone still new, you can still use normal Mythic 236 ilvl to convert to tier or transmog pieces too, so no M+ required
The 4 rares you can farm daily for relics are Garudeon, General Zarathura, Akkaris and Mother Phestis. If they aren't up on your realm, there are always groups popping up on the finder for them as well as the 3 rares that drop the the 246 weapons in the zone for transmog(Marzan, Iska and Damaris)
Gah, I’ve been so confused about tier stuff…I don’t raid or pvp either, so i thought i was out of luck. I didn’t know the sandworn stuff could be transformed - super cool, thanks!
With running over 48 toons and I do treat them all like mains I also don't have time or care to raid, PvP, or do dungs so I will be doing the same.
Thanks Kraken! Just fyi the world boss drops different items depending on your armor type so some classes get chances at higher level pieces to craft for tier, but others won't.
Sidenote for pvpers. The stats on this are fixed so you can get the mog you don't have for example pally or warr and then turn it into the dk pvp appearance.
Just finished my first full LFR level Sepulchur tier set today from farming relics and running a few LFR wings.

To be honest, we should get up until heroic of the current tier in solo, since everybody is anyway wearing mythic and people who struggle on lesser tier might have a help by farming consistently that would not have had otherwise. Then the next patch there should already be a way to farm for the previous mythic gear. It's invalid gear anyway and even if there was a trinket people would use, they would farm it anyway
I can't even be bothered with this at this point, I'm just buying 229 greens off the AH which is plenty for doing legacy content and RPing . I have zero motivation to do ZM or even Korthia to unlock flying since coming back to the game last month. Good to know the option is there though if I can actually feel motivated to do SL content beyond the basic covenant campaigns.

I was actually disappointed when I used one of the sandworn pieces as it came out in the lfr colour. There'd been people on the forums saying it would come out as 252 normal if you have fully upgraded your cypher of the first ones. It was apparently doing this on the ptr. I suspect this was just due to the sandworn gear being a late addition to the catalyst, and wasn't actually intended. Bummer. Still though, it is an awesome feature for us casual types.
Yeah same tbh, I was hoping I could complete the normal set with the sandworn gear.
Love the videos! On a side note, do you still do your current UI setup the same even with updates adding more options, or has it been done differently now? I want to try what you've been doing, so I figured to ask. Thanks for all the guides as well.
My UI is all still the same as the old UI series I did shows (linked in description). Aside from dropping a few addons like the raid-related ones, I've not changed anything.
I get you dont do M+ or pvp or raid.. but you REALLY should do M0s jut to get the helm/chest/shoulders/pants/gloves from them then convert them to tier as they will keep the 0/12 upgrade. so you could then get them to atleast +5. Also you said you dont care about tier but I feel like you should as even just the base set will give you bonus that will help speed up other content that isnt the big 3. You know from one casual player to another :P
Can you use Valor to upgrade Rafik’s gear? I’ve never tried

Luckily that's not true! I just upgraded multiple pieces that were from Rafiq across a few alts today. :D

The problems with the relics is they are only raid finder
also if you use it you can not upgrade
Sadly you cannot complete the entire 8 piece set this way... you can only do 5 pieces of the LFR tier set. I found this out the hard way. (Head, Chest, Shoulder, Legs, Gloves). It would not allow me to transmog the other 3. Shame really, I was hoping to complete the set this way.
I think there was a bug for a while but you can now convert any 8 pieces that contribute to the transmog.
@@williamcolgin1987 I just tried again today... It will not let me transmog the other pieces of the set, just the 5... So apparently it's still bugged. Or it is for me anyway.
@@kornfreak78 that's weird. it definitely sounds like a bug for you. I've got 8 toons I've been making the tier transmog with and have completed full sets with the catalyst. It's also worked on my normal and heroic gear. Just made heroic tier boots tonight in fact.

You should at least do bgs. Farming honor for pvp gear isn't so bad.
