I opened a new account and it was immediately suspended saying that I did not meet the community guidelines. I only liked the Rock and Stephen Curry. I never commented or posted anything. I tried to appeal the decision and entered the cell phone code sent to me. It then asks for an email code verification. I tried several times to send the verification to my email but it never shows up. I gave up and let them cancel my account.
Am i the only one who thinks its crazy for social media companies to ask for government id and face proof

A few others said this also. I think they are tracking everyone, via ip address or something. Feels like the Gestapo of Nazi Germany, instead of a social media company.

It says "help us verify this is your account before requesting ..." But i have to wait 2-3 days for it to verify on the Instagram app tho it says "24 hours"
