Easy & Delicious Cabbage Patties - A Perfect Low Carb Side for Any Meal

  • Crispy Cabbage Patties
    Ingredients:
    - 2 1/2 cups grated cabbage
    - 1/2 of a grated onion
    - 1/4 to 1/2 cup low-carb flour (almond flour, coconut flour, or your choice)
    - 1/2 teaspoon salt
    - 1/4 teaspoon pepper
    - 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
    - 1/8 teaspoon onion powder
    - 2 eggs, lightly beaten
    - Grease for frying (bacon grease, butter, or oil)
    Instructions:
    1. In a large bowl, combine the grated cabbage and onion using a box grater.
    2. Add the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder to the bowl. Pour in the beaten eggs and mix well until everything is fully combined.
    3. Set the mixture aside while you heat the grease in a skillet. Add just enough grease to barely cover the bottom of the skillet and heat over medium.
    4. When the skillet and grease are hot, spoon some of the cabbage mixture into the skillet. Flatten slightly with the back of the spoon to form patties.
    5. Fry the patties for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
    6. Transfer the cooked patties to a plate. Serve them as a delicious side dish!
    *Note:* You can use regular flour, almond flour, coconut flour, Parmesan cheese, or cornmeal based on your preference.
