Soooooo I found this Romanian electronic music, and I'm almost entirely sure I know what happened here. One of these guys has an American cousin, whom he visited in the late 90's. During said visit, the cousin took the Romanian to a back alley "rave". Which was just a bunch of people eating MDMA while listening to generic EDM on a skipping cs player. Well the Romanian fell in love, then proceeded to sneak a single roll back to Romania in his prison pouch, he then split the single dose with his entire gypsy tribe, and now we all get to enjoy these sweet beatz
