After the Transit of Venus album Adam couldn't do it anymore and left.
When he sings Adams songs, it isnt the best, but when he does his own songs like I Am Machine he sounds legendary. They should focus on his songs more, they're in his range and he can really kill those songs

Adam Gontier literally squeezed himself in TDG, the band owe him the success he made from his negativity and potential, luckily it appears he finally found happiness now and in consequence left the band. People really need to accept the fact that returning to the band would rather be unpleasant for him, and be grateful that they didn't let the band die and found a way to keep up the quality and tribute alive.

It's really disheartening to see all the comments making fun of Matt in this video. I just came back from their Explosions show in Montréal and the energy and passion he brought to the stage was incredible. Would it have been nice to see Adam sing IHEAY live? Yes, absolutely. Am I disappointed in Matt's performance of this or any of the other songs at my show? Hell, no. I recorded the entire thing and it was a fucking amazing experience. We get it, you miss Adam. However, it's been 10 years since he left, get a grip and move the fuck on.

This was from Matt himself he didn’t have any actual “writing” like Krakim said, Adam wrote all the songs, Matt helped with guitar riffs for only two. Not an entire album

I’d be upset if I attended one of their concerts just for it to have such a lack of energy. When I say Phil Collins in Chicago during his recent tour it had more energy than this performance.

I'll definitely be in the minority here but, I absolutely loved this version. Matt is pretty good. I was a huge fan of Adam, still am today. But unfortunately, things change as time goes on. I've listened to the new albums and they've put together some decent music with the new guy so far.

Three Days Grace has been successful despite Adam's departure. If people would quit comparing Matt to Adam, they would realize that he has his own style. Instead they are close minded and reminisce over Adam, who is clearly not over Three Days Grace.
@@ariceagaandros I'm not necessarily comparing them. They have their own respective styles. Where I was going at is more so of the rest of the band of how things played out. Yes they have been extremely successful but only because they do it for the money and not the art. There's no soul in the new 3DG at all whatsoever. As a musician myself, I know a lot about having soul being put into ones music. Am I successful like these guys? Not at all lol.
I get where you're coming from but I seriously doubt 3DG is only in it for the money. Matt has really grown into the band and has forged his own style within it and the new albums show it.

Saint Asoina has its strengths and i like it very much but they are not like the old TDG either.. We have lost a good band back then but we got 2 other Bands for that 😊 i dont hate matt like most adam-fans do

Matt’s alright, but can never match Adam, no mater how hard he try’s. Adam wrote those songs about him. Adam has emotional attachment to the song. Matt doesn’t.
