Yeah dude, it's fucking sick. I don't know if it gets enough cred. Did people see it then? Now? There's so much love for that era, but I feel like this video is always overlooked in the 90's discourse. Maybe it was a limited production run or poorly distributed. Deluxe was everywhere, even back then -- I got mine in Philly. I've always put this video in the ranks with the Eastern Exposures, Tincan Folklore/Visual Sound, Fucktards, Sub Zero shop video, etc. I'm bummed this upload sucks. I tried to watch regardless - made me dizzy and want to barf after a few minutes. If anyone out there has a copy with decent tracking, I would pay to see it.
Those are all the best videos from that time, for sure. I’d even throw in the FTC videos. I loved that Sub Zero video and remember buying it sight unseen from BC Surf & Skate, Littleton, CO.
Lol you have a “Spock-Rock” playlist! Excellent. I was was totally gaga over that stuff in high school. Did you ever get to see Angel Hair in Colorado?
@@mccabbq I didn’t get to see Angel Hair, but my friends had their 7” singles and one of their older sisters had a Angel Hair screened nylon coaching jacket. She introduced me to the Gravity Records stuff when I was a high school freshman. It’s crazy though, because I saw The VSS play and (a few years later) ended up being in a band that was on GSL Records, run by Sonny Kay, the singer of Angel Hair/The VSS. He was kind of our manager for a while and went on a few tours with us, so I ended up becoming pretty good friends with him. I had eventually moved from Aurora/Denver area to San Diego in June 1998 (by way of a brief stay in Dallas). I was really into that whole Spock Rock thing, from the Gravity and 31G stuff to Dischord Records, etc. I actually designed the first 31G website and was friends with The Locust from 1997 onwards. Those were fun times.
i mean no disrespect to the video but its hard to watch could you please reupload it !

Yeah, I would definitely add Penal Code among the ranks. Huf’s part alone is legendary. SJ too.
