The technical explanations were unusually well-detailed and correct, which is a great improvement. At the end of the video you revealed that you consulted (with?) a great expert to ensure correctness of the video, which is a good thing - I always feel physical pain when I see incorrect information in Jak videos, which means very often.
it's so funny to me that for ages, we thought that we needed to perform a pause buffer within a small window to idle deload, when all we really had to do was be holding a button. how recently is it that we've known about the easier method? it passed me by, since i haven't been active in the scene for a good while now
Maybe I'm just not understanding, but why would the developers even include code that would skip function set 1? It's clear that Start, L1, R1, triangle, circle, X, and square are deliberately coded in to that one single frame.... why would they even make that a possibility?
This is so random but I got to 81% of the game and jak randomly started walking backwards. Like automatically, I can’t stop him from doing it and can’t finish the game :(
@@carolinaludovice8470 have you tried playing with a different controller? Your current controller might have analog stick drift which causes jak to walk backwards
I can’t believe I found a channel focused on Jak & Daxter, this is so interesting and I’m so happy ☺️

Thanks Luminar! I did consult with Water to confirm that the details were correct. Something ill be doing moving forward.
Oh shit. Nice to meet a fellow jak and daxter content creator 😊
I had no clue this was a thing, but i love it and want to try it out
Thanks for the video it was really interesting and very well explained!
awesome video as always. had no idea about this until now, the sandover village-to-final boss jump is insanity lol
Love your videos. They're all well made

The simple "hold a button" method was discovered on August 22, 2021 by Snugggles, the person who made the jak and daxter TAS
Damn, I really love your videos

The code is there for when the player wants to exit an idle animation. They didn’t foresee how it could overlap with or skip other functions.
Woah I gotta try this haha
is there a way to load all the game map?
