    Will it happen? Probably not.
But if it does we are in the midst of the greatest moment in hockey history. I want everyone to understand that.
In the other major sports they have their moment, the NFL had 28-3 with Tom Brady, the NBA had 3-1 with the Lebron James, and the MLB had 3-0 with the Red Sox.
Those series were Star and league defining moments. Moments where the greatest of all time had there moment to shine. And to focus just on the NFL and NBA ones, moments where either sports “goat” defined why people say that when referring to their legacy.
If this happens, the Panthers lose the next two games, and the Oilers win. Not only will it be iconic for Edmonton winning, Canada finally winning, and a 3-0 reverse sweep. But it will be iconic for McDavid having the greatest series in NHL history, and will be talked about forever.

Also, San Jose, who famously blew a 3-0 lead to the Kings in 2014, ALSO quietly blew a 3-0 series lead to the Red Wings, but won game 7. This was the very NEXT round, after the Canucks did the same thing in the same year.
Just weird that after 1975 (a year where a game seven after a 3-0 series lead was also forced twice), that we saw nothing for 35 years. The we got a flurry of them in a four year span, and then nothing in 10 years.

Theodore looked rock solid and the canes didn't seem to have an answer... until game 4. Game 4 they eked out a win in OT and after that it seemed like the floodgates opened and they had completely solved Theodore and the series was done in a blowout. Could be the same with Bob in this series

Said this in the watch-stream last night, but it's been nearly THIRTY YEARS since a Canadian team won the Stanley Cup (Canadians vs. Kings, 1993), and if the Oilers somehow counter-sweep the Panthers, they will have made a hell of a mark in SCF history.
Fun fact as well, since 1993, only FIVE Canadian teams have reached the SCFs, only to Lose the Cup (Canucks in 1994 vs Islanders & 2011 vs. Bruins; Oilers in 2006 vs. Hurricanes; Flames in 2004 vs. Lightning; Senators in 2011 vs. Ducks; Canadians in 2021 vs. Lightning).

oilers are putting on a show, but florida is still fine.....EXCEPT....the question is, is bobbo cooling off? if bob goes ice cold, florida will lose. this was the big question for me coming into this game, then we got the game we did. i'd say bob looks preeetty chilly!! he just didn't look like himself at all. he looked sloppy and desperate to grasp onto some of that confidence he once recently had. when he threw a poke-check, which is a big confidence play for a goalie, and MISSED it and it nearly slid past him...wow that didn't look good. then there was a wrap around attempt where again bob didn't look good, not to mention the goal by mcdavid. those never go in on old bobbo, but here we are!!
i think edmonton forces game 7 and...well if bob doesn't straighten up, florida will lose. florida cannot win this without the elite goaltending, in my opinion. oilers will light them up

What a mirror type game in many ways. Game 4 Oilers open with a SHG. Game 5 we open with a SHG. After that it changes in that we get a PP Goal, a 5 on 5 goal, another PP Goal and an Empty Netter. Bob stayed in net this time though he still gave up 4 goals (the EN doesn't count against him). The Goals by the Panthers didn't look horribly hard but they went in. Stu did what Stu had to do. He played an above average game and made saves when it mattered. Hyman, Foegele, Perry and Tkachuk for Florida are off the Schnide. How was it put, we wanted to DRAG THEM BACK TO ALBERTA FOR GAME 6. We're Dragging them folks. Hoping the guys can win that one and bring it to an epic game 7 (where the Oilers win of course but I'm an Oilers supporter). Looking at the stats the only ones that scream out are we had double the blocks and they had more hits and were better in the faceoff circle and they shot about 1/3 more shots (depending on how you measure it).

As an oilers fan, obviously I would love to see them lift the cup again, and I am cautiously optimistic, but I hate all the hype and prognostication of game 7. You're all jinxing us! Lol
I remember oilers 1st cup everyone was convinced they'd lose again to the Islanders. 2006 we only made the playoff on like the last day because I can't remember which team lost. We were supposed to be swept by Detroit because they kicked our butts all season. Cinderella run, Rolli played insane. Pisani hero of Game 6
Then game 7 roloson injured 6 min left in a 4-4 tie. Massive heartbreak.
I doubted the oilers first cup. I doubted the 90 cup without Gretz. I believed in '06. And it sucked so hard. I prefer doubting and being pleasantly surprised. I don't like this hype. It's entirely too contagious and sucking me in, imagining a game 7 and a 50/50 shot.
