Akhi I have a doubt, maybe you can clarify In Sha Allah. Is the one who does major shirk out of ignorance a kafir? Or do we not pass takfeer on him as he is an ignorant? I saw Shaykh Fawzan's video in which he said that there is no excuse of ignorance for Major Shirk and the person becomes a kafir. And I saw a video of Shaykh Suleiman Ar Ruhaily in which he said that the one who does major shirk out of ignorance is NOT declared a kafir. Could you please clarify the issue for me akhi and maybe explain why both the Shaykhs have an ikhtilaf on this issue. Barak Allahu feekum

Yes, whoever commits major shirk is a kafir mushrik and it is obligatory to believe this in one’s heart, even if this mushrik has never heard of Islam and grew up completely secluded from society. As for the Akhirah, he will be tested by Allah if he was truly ignorant, but we judge based on what is apparent. As for takfiring him, there are two types. No major alim, neither al-Fawzan, Ibn Baz, Ibn al-Uthaymin, al-Albani, Muqbil, Rabi, or anyone else give the excuse in asma. They have all clarified their stances. This is something only for experienced students of knowledge. Do not get wiswas about it. Learn and follow the view of Ahl as-Sunnah and do not get so invested, as our shuyukh have advised, until you learn more. I will answer any questions ان شاء الله.

This is outright fraud and deception. Fear Allah, stop lying against the shaykh. And Abdullah al-Jarbu is one of the senior and knowledgable ulama. Murji’ah hate him because he is a lion in refuting their beliefs.

shaykh fawzan did say there is udhr bil jahl i believe it's in his nawaa'qid al islam book and it's on youtube aswell let me find it Insha'Allah.
