Hi Katie, I’m about to start a new Pinterest store once I’ve completed my website in the next week. I’ve watched a lot of videos and I can’t honestly say your way of teaching is excellent. You explain things really well and thank you. I am looking to start an affiliate business now just a quick question I believe you can’t put your affiliate links in the pins you create is that correct or not. I will be directing potential customers to my website where my affiliate links will be showing is that the correct way of doing this. What affiliate programs do you use thank you your videos are awesome. Do you have a full training course for Pinterest if so I would be interested in this, thank you keep up the good work. 😊
Thanks for a great, informative video! I miss Switzerland! I lived in Zurich for a year and visited friends in Buchs. ; ) (Oh yes, and I miss the "three aisles of chocolate" in the grocery stores....haha)
Man, these Pinterest hacks are 🔥! Kinda reminds me of the AI writing tools in boost app social for Instagram bios and descriptions. Wonder if they could implement something for Pinterest too.
Great tips! At the moment we seem to be getting *some* views but no clicks :( will apply these tips and hopefully we'll see some traction soon! Thank you :)
Hi Katie, It was a great watch! I have been trying to improve my ranking on Pinterest, and I will definitely be implementing these tips in my process. I think all of these tips are great and will be very helpful for many people. I gained a lot of insights from this video, and I will definitely share this with my friends, and I hope it helps them as well. I really appreciate this video, and look forward to checking more videos out very soon.
Ahh, thank you so much for your kind words, John. This really means a lot to me - I try to put a lot of effort into my videos. So good to hear it was helpful!
Hey there, so you can either use a scheduler tool like Tailwind - it will give you the best times to post. Or you post whenever you find the time. If you're content is great - Pinterest will show it even if you post at random times.
Hi Katie, thanks for sharing all these amazing & helpful videos with us! :) When adding different pins for the same blog post, should the pin description should always be different or does Pinterest not care if it’s always the same text (when it’s regarding the same blog post obviously)?
You are Amazing!! I love your video, they are so clear to understand. Thank you very much. I just started with Pinterest to drive traffic to my travel blog and I cannot wait to see it work!!!
Hi Katie, Thanks for the video. I wanted to ask if you have a video on what free resources to include in a new blog? If it is possible for you to a video on this.
Thank you for your great hacks. I am struggling to find anywhere about no description box when I pin from Instagram. I know they say “metadata” is there but I am not describing my collages for metadata on Instagram. Are the hashtags count as metadata? There is any solution for no description box? Thank you so much in advance, best Agata
On the last hack, are going to pin our new pin to the most relevant board that we created? Or are we going to pin to the other boards which are popular and created by the other people? Thank you
HI katie I have a question about pin intervals . So If I have 6 different pins designs for 1 blog post( 3 standard,2 video,1 idea pin). And on average 2 different relevant boards. Can I pin different designs to different boards. For example: pin 1 to board 1, and Pin2 to board 2. Can I pin them same day to different boards? Or at least 1 day apart?. Then 1 week later repeat the process but this time pin1 would go to board 2 and pin2 to board 1? I just don't understand the rule with different boards and same url, but different designs. I hope it makes sense
how often do I need to create new pins for my product, how many boards do I pin to and how often? And do I schedule them out or what? I don't mean to sound dumb but I need some guidance.
Hello. Bought the pin inspector in 2021 used for a while really good product. Haven’t used it in a year or so and now it will not load into my computer. Reached out to Dave and no response of getting help. Do you have a way to get tech help to get it working again ? Thanks.
Hi Katie! This was very helpful. Question about using keywords on my pins. Do I have to use pinterest when adding keywords on my pins in order for SEO to work? Or can I add my keywords when designing my pin in Canva or other applications? I hope my question makes sense. Thank you!
I have little over 600k monthly views and its going up by a 2k to 3 k daily. Pinterest analytics shows approx. 30 outbound clicks daily but shoplift shows only about 5 to 10 clicks daily coming from Pinterest? What's the deal? Could it be other company pins on my boards being clicked?
Thank you Katie. Should we have super specific board names, or is ok to have general board names? Like, can I have "nail art" or do I need "spring nail art", "pink nail art" etc?
I would say you can have both. However, if "nails" are your main niche which I assume here, then I would absolutely go ahead and create more specific board names. Your examples "spring nail art" and "pink nail art" are perfect. They are longer tail keywords of "exactly" what people type into the search bar! Well done!
Hi, Katie! I love your videos! They are all so helpful and this one is no exception! I am just starting out with a blog and with Pinterest and your videos help me a lot! Thank you so much, Katie! I have one question: if I have a board called Productivity Tips (where I save the pins I create according to my blog posts) should I save pins on this topic from other accounts to the same board or should I have a separate one? Thank you!
Hey Monica, first of all, thank you so much for your kind words, and I really appreciate you watching my videos :) About your question, you can save your own and other people's pins to the same board as long as they are relevant. Also, I would focus on your own content and pin more of your own pins. But pinning one or the other pin of someone else is totally ok and normal. Hope this helps
I would love to use Pinterest to bring it more attention to our music pages what do you suggest. How do we know what people are searching most for in music on Pinterest
Sure, I would check out the Pinterest trends tool trends.pinterest.com. You can type in a keyword and see what else people are looking for. You can also use the Pinterest search function to type in something and see what Pinterest autocompletes. These are things people on Pinterest are actually searching for :)
Please guide me.... I'm trying to convert traffic on my EtSy shop and make a business account in Pinterest. But my data source is continuously in pending and any new product file aldo no add due to 1st in pending. Please guide, what's strategy I used my impression is good but outbound click also low
Hey there, if it continues to stay in pending, it seems to me there could be a technical problem. I would try to reach out to the Pinterest help desk here: help.pinterest.com/en/contact
Hello Katie, thank you for your video, it's really helpful as I'm totally newbie to Pinterest marketing... My question: How can I grow my followers base? Can I use Pinterest ads to grow my followers audience? like we do in Facebook, where we can run Page likes campaigns Thank you so much
I have 3 followers but my monthly views keep increasing day by day, I don't get any follows or saves only impressions. Is that good for my account or bad?
I didn't think Pinterest liked the same Pin being pinned more than once. I do have pins that suit 2-3 different boards. It sounds like you're saying that we can pin the same pin to more than one board? Thanks
I've my pin is really relevant to several boards - I do pin it to more than one board. However, personally I never do more than 3 boards and I try to spread out the pins over a long period (so couple of weeks maybe).
dear katie, thanks so much for all your videos and seriously you are a great help! I hope if you could make a video on how to appeal to pinterest if your account get suspended. I am new to pinterest and my account got suspended when i sent a pin greetings to all my women followers for International Women's Day. Even after appealing pinterest decline to reactivate my account. How could it be scamming when its like sending greetings. I not even selling anything nor promoting any products or services. Could you consider making such a video for newbies like us?
Hey Omer, thank you for the great feedback. Really appreciate it. Now, I'm so sorry to hear about your account. I have a blog post about "8 Steps you can take to get your account reactivated on Pinterest". Here's the link if you're interested. whatskatieupto.com/2020/03/pinterest-account-suspended/ . I believe the problem is that Pinterest doesn't want you to send messages to people on a larger scale, even if it's not about making sales. Let me know if the post helped.
I make polymer clay color recipe notebooks for clay makers to use to keep track of their custom clay recipes. So I feel like my main keyword isn’t one word. It’s “polymer clay color recipe”. So I’m not really sure where do go from here?
Longer form keywords (so 2-5) words combined are actually better than short form keywords. You can definitely use that a keyword. I would though think about if your audience would type that in as well? Do they know the word polymer or would they use something else to describe what you do. Does that make sense?
Based on my research it's best not to post to other relevant Pinterest groups, because this traffic will not go to your external website. What is your experience with this? 👍👍
Hey Markus, no, that's not my experience. The thing is, the traffic from that pin should still go to your website as saving your pin to a group board doesn't change the URL on the pin. But Group Boards have not been as effective as they were like 5 years ago. So I always recommend to focus on your own boards and own audience.
Wow, you use the time breaks soooo beautifully, I love you, let's get married! I'll be faithful, I will let you eat candy and watch Netflix marathons!!!!
That’s amazing! Thanks for sharing these amazing hacks. In fact, to make Pinterest marketing successful, I’m also using a tool called Pinflux. It automates the entire campaign, helps in finding the best pins, and re-pins them to my boards automatically. Greatly benefitted from this tool.
Thank you so much! May we all find abundance in sharing value through creativity!

My question:

Thank you so much
In my experience, Pinterest auto-tags your images already so this is not necessary but can be useful to increase the reach of your pins
Thanks keti
Happy to Stella, and thanks for watching!
did not see anything about backlinks to my website- best way to add them to pins.

But if making pins on multiple niches, as Affiliate Marketers do, does not work... it's my opinion...
I personally have only tested using affiliate marketing for my niche but why not try it and see what happens.
What do about putting hashtags?
I personally stopped using hashtags. They used to work but right now it seems as if Pinterest is not focussing on them anymore.
Based on my research it's best not to post to other relevant Pinterest groups, because this traffic will not go to your external website.

Pinterest has become so saturated with everything. The only way to be even close to successful is with a ton of advertising.
Why has my organic traffic dropped?
Hey Janice, sorry to hear that. I would need more information to really understand what's going on...
