I played this on repeat for months... It hurts to know I'm gone now sometimes, but I know it was worth it. Every now and then I play this song in remembrance so I don't forget why I left in the first place!!! 3 1/2 years. My daddy said a lesson learned is a lesson earned. It wasn't that he was a bad guy. He just wasn't the one for me... Be strong. My motto is "It always gets better" What you took from the one in the past you don't take from the next.

I can completely relate to the words and emotions expressed in this song. It takes courage to leave a bad situation. Too often we stay in negative relationships out of fear, we are concerned about the kids, bills, childcare and have the false hope that we can change people. I had become numb and depressed, isolated myself from family and friends for the sake of maintaing this illusion of happiness. After 6 years I had enough. It's great to know that God never gives us more than we can handle.
This song hits me so hard, these words are so strong and so TRUE.
Thank You FAITH! The words are embedded in my heart. They give me strength and courage and hope - I need some support so that I can physically walk away from a 19 year 2nd marriage.
