Kate Wolf was a renowned folk/country folk artist from California whose life was cut short in 1986 after a long struggle with leukemia. "Green Eyes" is one of her most well-known songs, along with "Across the Great Divide." Nice request and reaction!
Thanks so much Arnie for this excellent request. Hadn't heard it in a long long time and I do love it. As Don suggested this is pretty close to a perfect track - the writing, the orchestration, Kate's voice, the performances all around - it's a perfect blend. Thanks Don for your wonderful reaction, well done!
Kate Wolf is a great choice. Thanks for reacting to the artist that you do. Some I have forgotten about and some I have never heard. I love to increase my knowledge of good music. Merry Christmas to all!! and hope everyone has a blessed New Year!!!!!
I discovered Kate very late indeed but loved her immediately. A few favorites are One By One, The Trumpet Vine, Here in California and Across The Great Divide.
Kate Wolf also sang Across the Great Divide. She was really underrated as a singer and was a source of inspiration for Nancy Griffith. She reminds me of John Prime quite a bit as well with her songwriting. She died too young.
Thank you. I only listened because I have green eyes. How selfish and silly of me. But I'm glad I did. A beautiful song. The lyrics reveal someone so immersed in an experience that all her senses worked together effortlessly and seamlessly to live the story and to tell it. To me, that can only be choreography of the soul. Sadly, she died three years later from leukemia. The vibe reminds me of one of David Viscott's quotes about love. "To love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides."

I'll second that.

@debbratrueax4430 That is a fantastic quote--I'm gonna use it from time to time, so thank you for that!!
@@RockN2Country You're welcome. I'm glad you liked it. It stuck with me from the first time I read it.
Derrick Dove “when did I get old” is a song that you should put on your list to react to. Something that crosses all our minds at one time or another.
