I usually listen to grind in small doses, but there’s something about this band that keeps me coming back over and over again. This is *_amazing._*
I think it's due to the fact that they add more melodic elements than other bands in the genre
To me, Insect Warfare and Wormrot are the best grindcore bands of the 21st century. Earache has always had a good eye for grindcore.

Wormrot really is playing the purest form of grindcore out right now!
Look at another one of my absolute favorite bands, Pig Destroyer. They're first two full-length albums "Prowler In the Yard" and "Terrifier" are two of the best grindcore albums of all time. Subsequent releases are all still great but (due to getting older I'm sure) they're lost a little bit of that PURE grindcore sound.
Wormrot are still relatively young but EACH record is unrelenting, uncompromising, ALL BALLS grindcore! In my eyes, they've gone from "that gnarly band from Singapore" to be one of grindcore's top bands of all time!
Sidenote: Drummer Brian Harvey from the first three Pig Destroyer albums was an absolute MONSTER, a super creative drummer, and a BIG part how DOPE those records were. He left after "Phantom Limb" and the change is noticable (to me). Obv they're not BAD by any stretch but Harvey was a freak of nature. Harvey was so incredibly tight but brought this chaotic sound! By comparison, current drummer Adam Jarvis sounds "cleaner" if that makes sense
This album helped me seriously through cancerous times!
I wish I could be into this kinda music because the people who love it seem to looove it and find alot of greatness in it.

@Juan Vazquez I like a lot of stuff, especially instumental and kinda compositional stuff. I prefer stuff that's a bit lighter and easier for my ears to parse out, I just don't think my brain knows how to process this kind of music. Really enjoyed David Maxim Micics new album, Bruit, Desbot, Sleep Token and alot of other random stuffs.
The best way to get into this type of music is to slowly progress to it because it's an aquire taste. I started with nu metal bands, then worked my way to metalcore, deathcore, death metal, black metal and grindcore

Love this band since their first album. Brutal Truth and Pig Destroyer influences are strong.
I will try my best to see these guys live every chance I get because they are fucking mind blowing on stage. For a band that's general song length is like a minute they pack SO much into their albums

When this came out in the middle of my shift, I nearly wanted to go apeshit at the office! Wormrot never fucking disappoints!!!
The only "pure" grindcore band that comes to mind that still manages to be crazy original.
Wormrot brought me back to grind after hearing Voices. Hiss is absolutely stellar and I'm so sad to hear that Arif has left. What an absolutely INCREDIBLE front man. Wish I could've seen these three perform live. Best wishes to him and his family though...he's left an untouchable mark on grind and metal in general.

@@theunsungone4100 for me it's grindcore at it's finest. Both punk and metal sounds put in a blutal and gruesome mix. For me it's more extreme metal because this is what it comes to mind when I think of "metal" grindcore and because extreme metal means taking the music to its extreme making the most violent and brutal as possible (and this is very violent and brutal), but it's totally fair to call it punk too.

first time listening to this band. That was actually pretty cool. Not much for the higher pitched vocals, but the main vocals were straight power. Nice mix of guitar styles in there also. I'll listen to more.
