Good night/morning! 🥰 in good time I found this channel about help in animals and I would like you to please give me some advice or information about what happened recently with my aunt's American bulldog puppies, on Saturday November 6 she gave 11 puppies, unfortunately some they died at birth and of the 8 that remained healthy for a week, only 4 puppies survived so far. The last puppies who died recently and before they died had purple skin, were breathing slowly and had lost weight, I was sad because I couldn't do anything about it. Even they didn't want to drink milk and we thought it was something in their lungs that was the reason they got sick out of nowhere. By the way, the mother of the puppies cannot breastfeed because she is in treatment for a few days and that is why we are doing everything possible to keep the 4 puppies that remain healthy by feeding them with bottles and taking care of them in a warm box where they are not cold. Mihua, I'm sorry you lost so many puppies. Newborns do best if tube feed vs bottle feeding the first couple weeks. They don't have a gag reflux until around 2-3 wks of age. If bottle fed, they can't gag and will asperate liquid into the lungs without a good suction. It's also very important to keep puppies warm. Their body temperature must be over 85 degrees to be able to eat, the air temperature where they lay must be 90-95 degrees the first week and then it can drop 5 degrees each week afterwards. The only way to know what really caused the death of the puppies is called a necropsy. If this happens again, chill the deceased puppy, don't freeze it, then take 2-3 of them to your vet and ask for the necropsy to be done. our puppies is 1 month old, 2 of them are so weak, the other one the back foot is week, the other is most weak because her front foot is weaker always sliding, and he always have morning glory on her eyes seems she have colds too... she is always crying, and not able to feed on jer mum, we use feeding bottle bit still not opening her mouth, she's always sleeping....pls help me🙏

i am from south part of india and in my brothers business place there are 2 female adult stray dogs which we used to feed at noon after lunch. one of the female dog gave birth to 4 dogs and now after 1.2 months one of the pup is week and barking in its pup voice. it is not able to stand on its feet and as soon as we place it in the ground it falls to the side . its mouth feels dry, its not taking milk from mom dog.
it just feel sad and bad for the dog.

My smallest pomeranian puppy are so weak at 28 days, shes unable to getting up like a drunk. But still want to bottle feed. Do you have any suggestion?

Hi, doctor Greer, I have a question I have puppy that is 5 days old I have been tube feeding, she is with her mom but for some reason does not latch long enough to get much nutrients from her, the pup crawls with its front legs swinging back and does swing its head back and forth strangely. I took her to the vet and the vet said to give her some time but I do feel there might be something neurological going on. The puppy was a breech puppy and did come out with no sac. please any info or advice would be helpful, thank you.
Hi Lazara, I would make sure you check the inside of her mouth to make sure everything is ok, no clefts or anything like that. Basically just making sure there is nothing to keep them from latching. You can do some extra mom time and support her to see if its more she gets pushed away during the feeding time. Sometimes extra mom time is all it takes. I would keep an eye on the way the puppy crawls and acts. With the extra attention and feedings puppy should get stronger and stronger. Always make sure puppies are warm also. They can't maintain their body temp at this age so they need a very warm whelping area. If they get cold they will fade away and die. Michelle @Revival

Ma Iris Esok, I would recommend to first give the puppy electrolytes warmed up, take the puppies temperature and make sure it's about 85 degrees. then a good milk replacer to help supplement the puppy. I would also recommend the NurtureMate (colostrum) to help the puppy to be able to digest milk and nurse more aggressively also. Sheryl at Revival

Hey is the tomlyn nutri cal good for 2 day old puppies? I have some that’s pretty small and can’t suck as hard as the others . Will this help ?

Directions from the manufacturer state> Puppy: To supplement your puppy's caloric or nutritional intake feed ¼ tsp per pound of body weight daily. How to use karo?
Eva, for puppies it doesn't take much. We recommend to use Forti Cal gel to help with low blood sugar for puppies but if you don't have this on hand, karo syrup can also help. Just a couple drops on the tongue or 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon in the replacement milk or electrolytes will also work. The Paw Squad

Priscila, I would recommend to have your vet examine the puppy to make sure there's no internal injuries. Also check puppies temperature. It must be above 85 degrees for it to be able to digest milk and eat. I would recommend to give electrolytes first to help revive. The Paws Squad.
