- This Vlog tells the story of the formation of the "official" Coral Reefer Band. In support of the soon to be released Havana Daydreamin album, Jimmy at the urging of the ABC Dunhill Record Company and his own intuition knew an official band needed to be formed. This vlog tells the story. Along the way, we visit a few of the Duval Street locations where Jimmy got his start. You will see the current locations of Mallory Square, Howie's Lounge, Crazy Ophelia's, Green Parrot Bar, Logun's Lobster House, Southernmost Resort etc. Filmed in Key West Florida, this vlog is dedicated Jimmy Buffett, Harry Dailey, Phillip Fajardo, and Roger Bartlett - the ORIGINAL Coral Reefers.

Loved this!!!! Bubbles Up!!!!
I missed this video. Well I'll watch it tonight. Anyway I came looking for your channel. I thought of you this couple days, I just wanted to let you know, we appreciate you and what you do. And, we're so sorry for your loss...............our loss........ It's still quite inconceivable to all of us. Keep it up my friend. Fins and bubbles up. rest in paradise, Jimmy.
I will have more Jimmy vlogs coming in the weeks, months and years ahead. We will never forget him. Thanks Claudio.
Another great video. Thanks David. Ironic that you published it just days prior to Jimmy's passing. What terrible news to wake up to on Saturday morning. Needless to say, I've been playing his music and listening to his Margaritaville radio station at our lake cabin, all Labor Day weekend long. What a life he lived! Some of it magic, some of it tragic, but Jimmy had a good life, all the way!!!
We will never forget him - and I'll continue to put these vlogs out and tell his story. Thanks again for watching Mick - I always appreciate your feedback.

Well said. ❤️
Buffet was the weed smuggler's poet!
Word was he helped bring in a few loads of good Jamaican and Yucatan weed aboard Key West shrimp boats before he made it in the music business
Rumor only, of course.
Changes In Latitudes.
Expatriate Americans.
Havana Daydreaming.
A Pirate Looks At 40.
I weep for those days of freedom!
RIP Wild Man.❤
Thanks for the ride Jimmy !! After I heard the album A1A on July 4th bonfire party my way of thinking did a 180 and it has been a great 48 years of living !!! The first song was Making Music for Money and I was hooked .
Thank you for watching Robert - Jimmy meant so much to so many of us. The best way we can continue to honor him was to follow his advice and "live life like a song". Fins Up my friend.
Rip Jimmy...your songs were,are amazing.
Love this guy!! Keep up the good work. Fins up!!
Thank you Jon! More to come in the next few months - Fins up!
Great video, very cool JB facts, fantastic job 🦜🌴😎
Thank you Cindy! I have more coming in the months ahead - Fins up!
Great video. Loved it.
Sad that fingers Taylor is suffering from Alzheimer’s. Apparently his family has a donation page to help with his expenses. Considering their past together and the fact that Jimmys dad had bad Alzheimer’s, I would think Jimmy would take care of any expenses fingers would need. I certainly would…

All us 70's pirates are dropping like flies.
I'm almost 82.
Any day now...
@@JohnMoore-xf5wy wishing you the best
Just finished watching all your videos. It’s a shame I didn’t find you sooner, but I’m looking forward to more. I’m a musician and have found myself in the Keys a couple times. I had to dig a bit, but I was able to do my own little Jimmy Buffett tour of a few places he lived as well as his studio. It’s a shame you weren’t making videos yet last time I was there!
His first few records were just so great, I revisit them constantly-my favorites are also A1A and Havana Daydreaming. Great videos, and I really appreciate your knowledge and passion for his music. RIP Jimmy
Thank you. This is such a tough day for so many of us. Jimmy meant so much to so many of us. I hope to continue to pay tribute him with these vlogs - his stories, his times should never be forgotten.
Dang, completed and uploaded a few days before his passing... incredible
Yes- so unfortunate. His passing is one, I'll never get over. I'm glad I can put these stories out for everyone - and keep his memory alive.
Nobody brought escapism to the masses like Jimmy Buffett.
Jimmy's music will live forever - his songs and the stories behind them must never be forgotten. Thank you for watching!
Lovin' the Radiators playin' on jukebox at Green Parrot (+/- 5:33 - 7:52)
You have a great ear! Thank you for watching - more to come soon!!
Love it! Great video! Can’t wait for the next one.
Thank you David! I've been told that people love the editing - I have a great assistant that does a lot of it for me - Fins up!
Just heard the news! Official day of mourning!😢😢
This is so hard. Jimmy and his music are such a part of our lives. His stories, his music and life will never be forgotten. This is like losing an old friend. Our world has gotten a little smaller today.
@@allthestoriesicantell7595 but what a day to be in heaven!!
I've been in most of those bars but not for the same reason. ... Good video.
You mentioned that for that first time show, tickets cost $1. My first time to a JB concert tickets cost $50, but the set, the band, and everything was much improved, I'm sure from that early gig.
Yes - the prices did go up from $1! I remember paying $500 each for 2 front row seats for me and my wife - and that was 20 years ago. Looking back now, I am so glad that did it. Thank you for watching Patrick and I will continue to keep Jimmy's meory alive with more vlogs coming soon. Fins up>
Sadly, Tom Corcoran passed away in February.
I love the CRB over the past years but to me, my favorite version of the band was the first version that I head on Live You Had to Be There.
So many different versions of the band - I think they were all special in their own way but to me the sound on those early KW albums was the best.
Been enjoying the channel and was wondering if there was a way to contact you. I run a Buffett based Podcast and would love to bring you on sometime. Just curious if you’d be interested. Fins up!
@@allthestoriesicantell7595 Will do.
I doubt if Gen Z's know what reefer was! 😂
Good old Key Wasted! ❤🤣
I'm sharing it. T h a n k you!
Thanks my friend!
