  • Howdy everyone, and welcome back to our journey across the United States. Today, we’re doing something a bit different - we’re taking a trip to the southernmost point in the United States, Key West, and talking about where it came from, what its significance was to American History, what role it plays today, and where it's headed. I hope you enjoy your history, folks, because this is a deep dive into one of the coolest towns in America that’s warm all year, Key West, Florida.
Now, if you’re new here I encourage you to subscribe if you like history with a touch of the spooky, because more videos like this are coming out fast! If you’ve been around a while, thanks for stopping by again! It's great to see you! If it's not too much trouble and you liked this video, please comment what your favorite part was, or if you’ve been to Key West whether you like it! Even a like will help this video immensely. And, as always, thanks a ton for stopping by.

Very well done. It was only halfway through that i realized how small of a channel you have. Keep up the content like this, and the subs will pour in. Honestly, great work.

Thank you so much for the kind words! I’m trying to shift toward long form content with a lot of depth, and frankly I love learning the details about places as succinct as a single city

Great work. I was born & raised on Cayo Hueso and even I didn't know some of the history you covered. Thank you.

I love the florida keys. It's my happy place. I'm a short boat ride from key west here in swfl and still wish I could live there. You've done great research on key west. Key west has dark history.

@@foreverstorytime2566 it's gotten soo expensive. I actually feel bad for the working locals there. Most have to have roomates and still work 2-3 jobs. That being said, they still love it. They always say, I get to live and work in paradise.

I just wanted to add that, the little white house can still be used for the president of the united states residence. Matter of fact, it still is considered a presidential residence. I believe the last president (former at the time) to stay there was Jimmy carter in 2007 and Bill Clinton in 2005.
