    I believe that Mr. Beckerman's words are right on and appropriate for every vocation or hobby. Whatever the interest, make room for real world experiences. Involve people and have adventures. You will have more rewarding results in your efforts if you gain experience and use those experiences to inform your work. Base your relationships with people who appreciate you and the work you do.

    Very eloquent advice. I’m glad that we were all able to learn from old-time animators like him.
    Also, the advice he gives at 6:38 is interesting. I’ll give it a try myself, since I always draw the line-of-action and then the head.
